Chapter 722: Press Conference End

A murmur spread across the press room after Hiro's humble declaration. It wasn't the type of response those reporters were expecting.

Hiro's response was quite unusual and didn't sit well with most of the reporters present in the press room.

However, one particular individual seated at the corner seat couldn't help smiling. He was slumped in his seat and had been yawning quite frequently earlier, making it seem like he didn't want to be here.

Yet right now, he was smiling.

'This kid is different,' He mused while fixing his sunglasses.

He was quite intrigued with Hiro's responses. Even so, he didn't jump onto the scene. He remained slouched in his seat.

"Speaking of games, let's talk about your debut against Real Madrid. That iconic celebration after scoring your brace the jersey pointed at the Bernabeu crowd- many called it arrogant. Do you regret it?" another reporter asked.

A ripple of excitement spread through the crowd, their eyes flickering with intrigue.

Hiro leaned back slightly. He knew he couldn't speak rashly. Hence, before answering, he chose his words carefully.

"I understand why people saw it that way," he admitted. "It was my first big moment in Europe, and maybe I let my emotions take over. But I don't regret it. That was my way of saying, 'I'm here. Remember my name.""

The journalists exchanged glances. Was Hiro media trained? Or was he that modest? They couldn't comprehend.

For a moment, it seemed Hiro would easily handle any questions thrown at him. Even while faced with such controversial questions, he didn't falter. He answered the questions calmly without losing his composure.

Hence, they couldn't help but wonder if Hiro had been media-trained.

However, the reporters didn't want to back down either. They needed a headline that sparked the interest of the people. Such modest answers wouldn't spark the interest of the people.

The news ran on controversies after all. The people craved controversies.

So, how could they accept such half-baked answers?

Immediately after, a deep voice interjected.

"And what about Cillian O Conaill?"

shadows the entire time without uttering a single word.

But he believed that it was the perfect time to interject.

The room turned toward the speaker.

Leaning casually against the wall, dressed in a sleek black jacket with his signature sunglasses concealing his eyes, Elias Navarro tilted his head slightly.

Hiro's eyes darted to the speaker too. The moment his gaze landed on him, Hiro immediately recognized him.

Hiro had heard of him. Everyone in football had.

A journalist who didn't just report stories but uncovered them. He wasn't your typical journalist who chased after controversies and trends.

Navarro exuded the calm confidence of a man who had seen it all. He wasn't just another reporter looking for a soundbite. He was hunting for something deeper.

"Hiro, rivalries create legends. We've been fortunate to witness the rivalry of Ronaldo and Messi. There are also other ongoing rivalries. Here, some rise, some fall. But tell me..."

He paused briefly and the air felt heavier than usual.

"When the dust settles, when all of this is over-will the world remember you as the hunter... or the hunted?" Elias was teasing Hiro.

He wanted to witness the reaction he would make. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't ask such questions. However, right now, he wanted to test Hiro.

A hush fell over the room.

Hiro slightly leaned forward, his elbows resting on the table. His expression remained unreadable. Then with a slight smirk, he answered, "They'll remember me as the one who

never stopped moving like they remember you."

Elias chuckled upon hearing Hiro's response, the shadow of a grin crossing his face.

"Thank you for answering my question," Elias thanked Hiro and the press conference

concluded.

He was more than satisfied with Hiro's gestures and responses. He could tell that Hiro was

different.
