Chapter 75 The Chamber of Secrets: Harry's Pocket
The blood-soaked Barrow genuinely wanted to be scolded, firstly to appease Helena's anger, and secondly to gain a moment of peace of mind.
Harry was reluctant to pay attention, but Hermione suddenly spoke up: "Of course, Mr. Barrow, Harry can curse you all day long."
"But only if you answer a few questions for us—by the way, Harry and Ms. Helena are very close."
Although Harry didn't understand what Hermione was trying to say, he knew she was being tactful, so he immediately nodded in agreement, saying, "Yes, elder sister's meaning is exactly the same as mine."
Upon hearing this, the blood-soaked Barrow nodded hastily, "As long as Helena forgives me, I can answer any question."
Hermione exclaimed happily, "Then let's go, Mr. Barrow, we need to find a secluded place."
Ron said, "I know a place that's Fred and George's secret base. I haven't seen anyone else there besides the two of them."
Having said that, he got up and led the way to the secluded place.
Hermione and Barrow followed behind him, while Harry pulled a bag of Galleons from his pocket and tossed it to Colin.
"Oh, Harry," Colin said anxiously, clutching the bag of gold coins, "you've already given us four or five days' worth, we really can't accept any more."
"Hey, Colin, why are you talking so formally again? You guys come here every day to drink and joke with me, but you hardly eat a single bite of food."
"You all take this money and divide it up, then find a place to have a good meal."
After saying that, he followed Ron and the others and left.
Watching Harry leave the Great Hall, Colin couldn't help but exclaim, "Did you see that? Harry wasn't even afraid of Barrow the Bloody!"
"I told you long ago, his nickname 'Scarface' wasn't given for nothing!"
"That's right, just like how everyone calls Professor Dumbledore the White Demon."
"I wish I could have a nickname too."
These new students were like sparrows, chattering incessantly, their voices sharp and piercing, making the Slytherin students look rather awkward.
Draco's expression shifted between light and shadow as he stared intently at Colin.
It is:
Scarface angrily denounced everyone, while Colin happily became famous.
Slytherin's face turned cold and pale; Draco concealed his conspiracy.
Meanwhile, Harry and his friends went to the underground classroom, and Barrow the Bloody kept pestering Harry on the way, making a real racket.
"Harry, what's your relationship with Helena?"
Has she mentioned me to you?
"What does she think of me now...?"
The ghost kept babbling on and on, digging up old grievances to interrogate him, much like Tang Sanzang reciting the Tightening-Headband Mantra.
Harry, free from the golden headband, was annoyed by the filthy brat's incessant chatter. A nameless rage surged within him, and he stamped his foot and cursed:
"You son of a bitch! What are you yelling about! My sister just wants to rip out your heart and liver to eat with wine, and pull out your tendons to tie around your waist!"
"You still dare to dream of begging for mercy? Go take a piss and look at your own face! Do you even know if you deserve it or not!"
His curses were so fierce that Ron and Hermione were terrified, fearing that Barrow the Blood Man might become enraged.
To everyone's surprise, the ghost was delighted rather than angry, repeatedly shouting, "Well said! Mr. Potter, please say a few more..."
Ron, who was ahead, clicked his tongue in amazement. Look at what they'd done to this blood-soaked Barrow... Ms. Helena is really something else.
Harry felt as if he were punching a pile of rubbish, completely powerless. The thought of even uttering a curse vanished instantly. He simply waved his arm to dismiss the fellow, then turned and whispered something in Hermione's ear.
"What does the eldest sister want to ask this thief? Must it be done in such secrecy?"
"Harry, Barrow the Blood was one of the first students at Hogwarts, a student personally selected and taught by Salazar Slytherin."
As if on cue, Harry exclaimed, "Does Big Sister mean she wants to ask where this fellow's secret chamber is hidden?"
"That's right. Even if he doesn't know where he is, he must know some relevant information."
The two talked for a while, then Ron suddenly stopped, stood in front of a door, said "Aloholy Gate open," and said, "We've arrived."
The group pushed open the door and entered. Harry pulled up a chair and sat down with an air of authority.
The blood-soaked Barrow floated to his side and whispered, "Mr. Potter, what question do you have—by the way, does Helena really want to rip out my heart and liver?"
"My body has long since rotted in the Albanian forests, but we should be able to salvage a few bones, perhaps enough to grind them into powder to appease her anger..."
"Mr. Barrow," Ron couldn't help but say, "more than nine hundred years have passed; your bones have most likely turned into fertilizer in the soil by now."
"I have a piece of land at home, and I occasionally use some bone meal."
The bloodied Barrow remained silent for a moment before speaking, "Mr. Ron Weasley, please do not desecrate my body."
Ron rolled his eyes. So only Harry could talk to him like that?
Harry paid no attention to it and interrupted, "I only have one question: where is that dark place hidden in the secret chamber? Tell me."
Upon hearing Harry's question, the blood-covered Barrow was taken aback for a moment, hesitated, and then shook his head, saying, "I'm sorry, Mr. Potter, I don't know where the Chamber of Secrets is."
"There must be some rumors, right?" Hermione narrowed her eyes. "Mr. Barrow, your current behavior doesn't seem to suggest that you want Ms. Helena to forgive you."
"And you should know that, to Ms. Helena, Harry is like a younger brother."
As the saying goes, "Strike the snake at its vital spot, shoot the horse before shooting the man." Hermione's words hit the nail on the head, striking Barrow, the Blood Man, right to the heart.
Although this fellow usually revered Slytherin, now that he heard Helena's name, even Salazar would have to give way.
"...Well, I have indeed heard some rumors. It is said that there is a snake symbol at the entrance to the secret chamber."
"But that's no use, because only those who know Parsley can enter the Chamber of Secrets, which is a strict requirement for Mr. Slytherin to choose his successor."
Hermione asked, "Is this also just a rumor?"
"No, that's what Mr. Slytherin said himself."
Harry was secretly delighted. This Chamber of Secrets was truly destined for him! If he didn't take it, wouldn't that be a waste?
Having said that, he leaped up from his chair, told Ron and Hermione to push open the door and leave, to find Dumbledore.
The bloodied Barrow called out from behind, "Mr. Potter! Next time you see Helena in the Great Hall, don't forget to curse me!"
Harry and the other two ignored him. Ron asked suspiciously, "Harry, what are you going to see Professor Dumbledore for?"
"Ah, of course we need him to send more men so that we can find the secret room together."
"But there are so many places marked with snakes in the school, how are we going to know which one is the secret room?" Hermione asked doubtfully. "And we don't understand Parsley, how are we going to open it?"
Ron suddenly had a brilliant idea, "How about using an explosion spell, or getting a few strong guys to dismantle the entrance?"
The two continued their discussion, and Harry laughed, "Big sister and brother, don't panic, I understand that snake language."
