Chapter 11 Powerful
Chapter 11 Powerful
New students who don't enroll will enter Diagon Alley from the Leaky Cauldron, but that's for students from Muggle families because it's impossible for them to have FlooNet installed in their homes.
But Professor McGonagall and Irving didn't need to go through all that trouble. They could get directly to Diagon Alley from the fireplace in the principal's office. It was fast, but the only downside was that they would be covered in layers of dust.
"Completely cleaned up."
With a flick of his wrist, the little wizard cleaned the white ash off himself and Professor McGonagall.
"Perfect!" Professor McGonagall looked serious, but she wasn't one to hold back praise. "Especially the technique of wandless spellcasting—have you fully mastered it now?"
"I haven't been taught yet..." Owen's face turned a little red again: "I can't guarantee success with some of the more complex spells, but I think I can master them by the time school starts."
Professor McGonagall's lips twitched: "No need to rush, let's... go to Tuofan Clothing Store first!"
At first, Owen thought Professor McGonagall had ordered clothes here, but just as he was about to enter, he realized that it was Professor McGonagall who wanted to order clothes for him here.
The young wizard's expression changed, and he pulled Professor McGonagall to a secondhand shop on the side, where he actually picked out a secondhand robe that fit him quite well.
Seeing him clutching his robe, waiting for her to pay, Professor McGonagall's heartstrings were touched once more. She knew the young wizard didn't want to spend her money because he didn't want to owe her too much, but...
"My child, I think what you need to learn now is how to accept the kindness of others. This is also a lesson."
"Professor, kindness knows no bounds, and I think this is very good."
The little wizard's bright smile deeply touched the witch's last line of defense. She forcefully dragged the little wizard to the Transcendental Clothing Shop, then forcefully ordered several robes for him. Finally, she dragged him to Madam Malkin and ordered four school uniforms for him.
The four major departments each have their own characteristics.
Irving was a little confused: "Professor, isn't this... a bit of a waste?"
"No, Dumbledore and I have discussed it. After the semester starts, you will spend half a month in each of the colleges, starting with..."
Professor McGonagall shook the green robe in her hand: "Slytherin, begin."
The young wizard's self-learning ability is too strong, and after half a semester, he hasn't made a single friend. This won't do. After discussing it, the professors concluded that it might be because there was no house sorting, which made the young wizard feel a lack of belonging and caused the other young wizards to feel a lack of identification with him.
So, the idea of rotating among the four academies came about.
But today, Professor McGonagall didn't bring the young wizards to buy clothes specifically, but rather...
"A flying broomstick?" The little wizard's face showed resistance. "I can fly by myself, why would I need a broomstick?"
"It's different. At least on the Quidditch pitch, you can't play without riding a broomstick."
When this was mentioned, Owen laughed: "Professor, I'm too young to take flying lessons, let alone participate in Quidditch. By the time I can participate, these brooms will probably be outdated, so there's no need to waste money."
Okay, that's definitely a problem.
Professor McGonagall patted the little wizard's head: "You always make me forget your age. Now that you've reminded me, I think we can go eat something to make ourselves happy."
"But Professor, I'd rather..."
Following the young wizard's gaze, when Professor McGonagall saw the Flourish and Blotts sign, she firmly shook her head: "No, you don't want to!"
After saying that, she firmly took the little wizard's hand and walked towards Florin's Ice Cream Shop.
Dumbledore is right. Owen is too young. We can't respect his personal wishes too much. We need to guide him, not just in magic, but in all aspects of his life.
So, Professor McGonagall, unusually assertive, laid out various flavors of ice cream in front of the young wizard and then swept her hand dismissively: "They're all yours!"
If I eat it all, I'll get diarrhea, right?
But seeing Professor McGonagall's proud demeanor, Owen could only grit his teeth and finish all the flavors of ice cream one after another in one go. When he returned to Hogwarts, Owen felt like he hadn't even recovered.
In the dead of winter, I ate over a dozen servings of ice cream and still haven't had diarrhea for so long...
Thank you, myself!
I'm grateful for my physical condition in this life; it's better than in my previous life!
The holidays were over, and the students returned to the castle. Then the young wizards of Slytherin discovered that they had an extra student in their house.
Owen, dressed in Slytherin's green robes, sat at the Slytherin table, eating a steak sandwich while holding shredded potatoes and other food in his other hand.
At the long table in one of the houses, all was quiet. No one commented, and everyone was secretly watching, because the little wizards were eating so deliciously that they wanted to try this unusual way of eating, but none of them dared to...
After eating and drinking his fill, Owen didn't go for dessert because he didn't really like sweets. But as soon as he stopped, the snakes in Slytherin suddenly didn't know whether to eat it or not. Some even took the dessert to their plates and then put it back.
"Don't worry about me, everyone. Just eat. When I have some free time in a few days, I'll go find the elves and teach them some new dessert recipes. I'm sure you'll like them even more."
Upon hearing this, the little snakes, who loved dessert after meals, finally began to eat heartily.
"Ah, what a heartwarming scene! Severus, sending Owen to Slytherin was the right decision!"
Snape's lips twitched, completely ignoring Dumbledore's words. Was he getting old and blind? This wasn't friendship! Even sitting in the teachers' section, he could smell the stench emanating from Headmaster Slytherin's desk—that was terror!
That's right, the snakes are all afraid of Irving, because last semester, Irving used most of his few attacks on the Slytherin students.
Now that this extraordinary young wizard has donned the robes of Slytherin, if he were to make another move, it would become an internal matter for Slytherin. They might not even be able to find anyone to complain to, because just last semester, everyone witnessed Professor Snape personally brushing dust off the young wizard's clothes.
That's right, I took the photos myself; I didn't use any magic...
From first to seventh grade, which Slytherin wizard was treated like this by Professor Snape?
"Has everyone finished eating?" Irving waited until the last person stopped before standing up with a smile. "Then let's go back to the common room. I have something to say to everyone."
The snakes in Slytherin suddenly stood up and, without needing their prefects to lead them, automatically lined up and headed towards the common room. Owen was at the very back of the line, following along.
The young wizards from the other three houses were quite agitated. The Slytherin House's performance today was... truly remarkable!
