Chapter 34 Out of Control
Chapter 34 Out of Control
Leosley tried to struggle.
However, the bed that belongs to the girl alone is not very big to begin with. If things get serious, Wintara might roll off the bed, which would be quite dangerous.
With that in mind, he gave up and instead tried to persuade her to loosen her grip on him.
The reason Ventara restrained him was because she thought he was too noisy, and seeing that he was still talking nonstop, she immediately decided to shut him up again.
This time, however, she was using both hands to hold the man down, so what else could she use?
Ventara struggled to think.
However, the effects of alcohol were too great; the usually shrewd and capable assistant could only think of her brain, the only thing she could still use.
So she decisively bent down and sealed it with her own mouth.
The girl's lips still carried a lingering scent of wine.
And Ventara got that feeling from him too.
To further entice her to drink, Leosley himself drank quite a bit, even more than her by two glasses.
Although he wasn't drunk yet thanks to his high alcohol tolerance, he reeked of alcohol.
Ventara didn't dislike the taste.
Although she was initially annoyed by the spicy liquor, she grew to love the feeling after getting used to it.
"Leo, I want more... wine..."
She whispered those words against his lips, then awkwardly stuck out her tongue, trying to savor the taste of alcohol in his mouth.
Leosley felt he must be drunk, otherwise why didn't he stop her immediately, but instead let her continue to act arrogantly?
The situation spiraled out of control.
By the time Leosley realized what was happening, it was all over.
The place was a mess, with bottles and clothes scattered on the floor, and the pungent smell even overpowered the alcohol odor in the room.
This is... terrible...
Leosley was a bit of a headache, never before did he realize that something could be so troublesome.
He began to think about how to explain things to Ventara when she regained consciousness the next day.
Although he was actually the one being "coerced".
The Duke, who was usually so carefree, was now so troubled that he pulled his hair back. However, after looking down and seeing Ventara's peaceful sleeping face, he decided to leave these worries to himself tomorrow.
He held her tighter and drifted off to sleep with her.
*
However, to his surprise, Ventara woke up earlier than him.
When she opened her eyes and found herself lying in Leosley's arms, she was completely stunned.
The hangover headache prevented her from thinking about why things had turned out this way, but her body had already subconsciously moved away from Leosley's arm and slipped out of bed.
Untara didn't care about anything else. She hurriedly tidied herself up to be presentable and then fled the scene as fast as she could. She didn't want to face these things at all, especially Leosley, who seemed to be waking up soon.
No matter how she tried to hide, Petersburg was only so big, and in the end she would still have to confront him.
*
At this moment, Ventara and Leosley together pulled themselves out of their memories.
The former pushed away the guy who was still shamelessly sticking to her, her expression unfriendly: "Please keep your distance, Duke."
Leosley shrugged, not intending to do anything to provoke her further while she was still angry.
He stood still as she instructed.
Ventara's expression finally softened a bit, but just then, someone brought up something she didn't really want to talk about.
"Do you remember what happened last night?" Leosley probed subtly.
He knew that people would react differently when drunk; some would remember very clearly the embarrassing things they did while drunk, while others would forget them completely.
If he wanted to explain, he would at least have to figure out which situation Ventara was in first.
Unfortunately, she falls into the second category.
All Wintara can recall now is the image of herself drinking one glass after another last night in an attempt to prove herself; she has no other recollection of anything else.
However, after recalling this, she noticed some other small details, and her gaze towards Leosley suddenly became even sharper: "You deliberately tried to get me drunk last night?"
Clearly, she assumed that his drunken sexual misconduct was intentional.
Leosley hesitated to speak.
The Duke hesitated about whether to tell her the truth, since Ventara had been very resistant to him since their reunion, and although there seemed to be another reason, she was unwilling to explain.
However, Ventara failed to see his concerns.
Seeing that Leosley remained silent, she assumed he was feeling guilty: "I wonder what kind of punishment the Duke will receive when he breaks the law and is brought before the Supreme Judge?"
"However, you're right. You are my direct supervisor after all, so perhaps I should give you some face and remain silent. But please stay away from me in the future; I don't want to constantly worry about my safety."
Ventara used every venomous word she could muster, hoping to deter someone with her aggressive attitude.
Little did she know how ridiculous her arrogant demeanor appeared to Leosley, who knew the truth, and how much she resembled a pretentious kitten.
He decided to stop avoiding the situation.
Leosley grabbed Ventara's hand as she shoved him and pinned her against the wall.
This was a spot that Ventara had carefully chosen for his conversations; almost no one would pass by here at this time.
She had originally thought that since it involved the chaos of last night, it was really not appropriate for others to know, but unexpectedly it became one of the conditions that trapped her.
Even if Ventara wanted to ask for help, no one would likely hear her.
She was trapped between the man's arms, with no chance to resist.
Even now, Ventara refused to beg for mercy. She looked up at him coldly and forced a rebuke, "What is the Duke doing? Are you planning to repeat last night's events?"
She had thought that saying that would make Leosley back down, but she really didn't understand him at all.
Or rather, all she knew about him was when he was a child.
Just as Leosley couldn't understand why she was so resistant to him, Ventara couldn't understand why Leosley moved even closer after she said those words.
She was so close she could even feel his breath.
She was so close that she only needed to lean forward slightly to press her lips against his.
Ventara dared not look at him anymore, and could only lower her eyes to let her gaze fall on Leosley's neck.
The man's Adam's apple was very prominent, and the way it bounced up and down when he spoke was even more sexy, so much so that Ventara suddenly lost focus and didn't hear what he said at first.
"...What?" she asked instinctively.
Leosley smiled.
"I mean, you're right, I did have thoughts of repeating last night—"
