You can create a contract weapon from your empty hand with a single action. Each time you create a contract weapon, you can choose its form from the list of melee weapons. When you use the weapon, it will be considered as having proficiency with that weapon. When attacking targets that are resistant to or immune to non-magical attacks or damage, the weapon will be considered a magical weapon.
Your contracted weapon will disappear naturally if it remains within 5 feet of you for more than 1 minute. It will also disappear when you recreate it, dissolve it (without any action), or die.
You can transform a magical weapon into your contracted weapon through a special ritual. This ritual takes one hour and can be performed during a short break. After the ritual, you can dissolve the weapon at any time to transfer it to an alternate dimension. When you create a contracted weapon, you will summon it instead. This ritual cannot be performed on artifacts or intelligent weapons. If you die; or spend one hour performing a ritual on another weapon; or break the contract through the one-hour ritual, the weapon will no longer be your contracted weapon. If you break the contract while it is in an alternate dimension, the weapon will appear at your feet.

"Sato International Logistics, Tanaka Suisan, Takahashi Home Magic Tools..." Koshimura Sawa leaned against the cold wall, looked up, and repeated these names in a low voice, "They were all businesses that the Toyokawa family used to own."
"—Stop now, buddy." Utagawa Tomoe, standing outside the door with his arms crossed, said, "They're already on edge. All the outposts that could be found have been evacuated. Even if we continue searching, we won't find any useful clues."
"The Adventurers' Guild has already started putting pressure on them, and there will be substantial progress soon. All we need to do is—"
“No.” Koshimura suddenly interrupted her, pressing a hand to his lower abdomen. “It’s still moving, I can feel it… We’ll definitely find it…”
“Yuecun Ze.” Wenshui Jiashu’s voice came through the earpiece, interrupting his daze, “The Black Gu could not possibly survive outside the body for that long. Even if it was replenished with blood once, it is absolutely, absolutely inactive now! That was just your illusion.”
"How could that be?" Koshimura Sawa smiled weakly, struggling to prop himself up. "Just a little more rest, a little more rest..."
"Look at me!" Tomoe Utagawa strode forward, grabbed his shoulders, and looked into his bloodshot eyes. "Your magic is depleted! If this continues, you'll only ruin your body and nothing else! The association has already approved it, and Pastel*Palettes will be called up soon. What you need to do now is go back and rest, and then wait for our news, understand?"
"Sodayo~" Aoba Mocha said lazily, leaning against the doorframe, "Just leave it to Mocha~ After all, Mocha is a genius~"
"Wait...?" Koshimura Sawa stared intently at the ground, his lips moving unconsciously. "But what about Takamatsu Akari? Can she wait too? Where is she now? Is she afraid? What has she been through with those people?"
......
There was a suffocating silence.
Only Koshimura's heavy breathing remained in the office as he looked down at his trembling hands, which were shaking from exhaustion.
At this moment, footsteps came from outside the door.
"Director."
"Chief!"
Udagawa Kyuu V.II Liu Jiuyi! Kyuu, Shrimp Liuba and Aoba Mocha spoke at the same time, their tone filled with respect.
A pair of brown leather shoes, along with the end of a cane, silently stopped in front of Koshimura's lowered gaze.
"Why... are you so determined to find Gao Songdeng?" a gentle yet firm voice asked. "As far as I know, aren't you two just ordinary classmates? Why are you willing to go to any lengths for her, even risking your own life?"
"that is because--"
Koshimura Sawa almost instinctively wanted to refute, but the words suddenly froze on the tip of his tongue.
Because he discovered that he couldn't find any reason at all.
All his knowledge, impressions, resonance, and affection for Gaosong Deng originated from another world.
He truly loved her clumsy yet sincere shouts, loved how she, despite not being good at expressing herself, still stood firmly on the livehouse stage, saving the falling band with her poetry and songs, loved her determination to keep moving forward even when lost, loved her radio waves and gravity, loved her love for things that seemed strange to ordinary people, such as stones, stars, insects, and penguins.
But to the "Takasatsu Lantern" of this world, he was just a "stranger" he had met a few times, whose behavior was a bit strange, and who happened to have some common topics.
She herself might not even understand why he was so persistent.
A tremendous sense of absurdity instantly enveloped him.
Koshimura opened his mouth, but could only manage to squeeze out a few pale syllables from his dry throat.
"Because...it was a promise." The voice was as soft as a feather.
"To risk your life so much because of a promise... is it really worth it, child?" the gentle voice continued to ask.
"What do you know—" Yuecun Ze suddenly raised his head and froze.
He looked at the worried look in the person's eyes and the name tag hanging around their neck.
Takamatsu Yuji.
"Of course I understand." The man gave a bitter smile.
Koshimura Sawa's mind went blank for a moment, and he just stared blankly at the elegant purple-haired man in front of him who was leaning on a cane.
“Thank you, thank you so much. I’m truly happy that Deng has met such a good friend like you.” His tone was sincere. “However, I believe Deng would never want to see her friend get hurt or even put in danger while searching for her.”
"Therefore, based on your current physical and mental condition assessment, as the main person in charge of this operation, I hereby announce: from this moment on, you are removed from the provisional investigation team."
Koshimura's pupils suddenly contracted.
“Go back... and get some sleep.” Yuji Takamatsu gently patted his shoulder. “This world may indeed be a huge makeshift operation, but it’s not as bad as you imagine.”
"Please believe me... This is a promise I made as the director of the Bureau of Investigation and as a father."
He leaned on his cane and brushed past Koshimura Sawa.

As the last glimmer of daylight was swallowed by the thick darkness of night, only a deathly silence remained in the empty room.
Koshimura lay on his back on the bed, feeling as stiff as a piece of wood.
He lay there with his eyes open, trying to fall asleep, but countless fragmented images and sounds kept churning wildly in his mind.
The oppressive underground, the whereabouts of Toyokawa Shoko, the enormous iron cage, the pitch-black monster, the missing Takamatsu Akira...
The boy frowned, tossing and turning until his pillow was soaked with sweat, at which point his breathing finally began to calm down.
"lamp..."
In the silence, only a faint, dreamlike murmur could be heard.
After an unknown amount of time, Koshimura suddenly hunched over and began to cough violently.
After a series of heart-wrenching coughs, a viscous black substance suddenly leaped out of his open mouth.
It landed on the cold bedside table, like a living oil stain, undulating slightly, pausing for a moment, as if sensing its surroundings.
Then, it silently slid off the bedside table and slowly crawled to the guitar case leaning against the corner of the wall.
Several thin, yet exceptionally resilient black tentacles reached out, unzipped the guitar case, and rummaged inside.
Soon, it became entangled with a silver crystal that emitted a faint starlight.
[Astral Shards]
The black body covered it like liquid, tightly enveloping the shards of crystal within, absorbing the faint yet pure energy, and a deeper, more eerie light flowed across its surface.
After doing all this, it slowly crawled to the closed window, and with one of its tentacles, like a handle hooked onto the window, it gently pulled.
Click.
The window was slowly pushed open a crack.
A cool night breeze swept into the room.
Hei Gu stood on the windowsill, slightly turning its round body, and glanced back at Yue Cunze, whose eyes were closed on the bed.
Then, without a sound, he leaped down and disappeared into the Tokyo night.
Chapter 59 He and She (5.2k)
"The search and rescue operation is still ongoing. Adventurer Guild A (1) 2VIII (dead) fterglow and Pastel*Palettes have officially joined the investigation. Please do not panic, citizens, and trust the Adventurers' Guild—"
A man suddenly squeezed in front of the camera, his eyes red and swollen, and said, "Thank you to the Adventurers' Guild! Thank you Afterglow! They saved my daughter! Thank you! Thank you all—"
Koshimura Sawa pressed the remote control without expression, and the TV turned off with a click.
He sniffed his stuffy nose, curled up back in bed, and pulled the blanket up a little, as if that would shut him out of the world.
"Strange...when did I catch a cold..."
Just then, there was a knock on the door from the entrance.
Koshimura Sawa dragged his heavy body out of bed and moved to the door.
"Who is it?" he managed to squeeze out a few words from his dry throat.
No one answered.
Koshimura Sawa pressed the doorknob and slowly pushed it open a crack—
“Koshimura-kun! You—” Nagasaki Motoyo’s worried face immediately appeared before him.
Koshimura Sawa closed the door almost reflexively and turned to walk back.
Nagasaki Motoyo followed him in with a cold expression, closing the door behind him.
Such a quick change of expression.
Oh my god, the cold-faced Su Jie!
and many more.
Koshimura Sawa suddenly turned around and looked at Nagasaki Motoyo, who walked in nonchalantly and looked around curiously.
?
How did you get in?
Nagasaki Motoyo patted the bass slung across her shoulder.
"【Tapping Technique】."
"...Fine, whatever." Yuecun Ze gave up struggling, moved back to the bedside, collapsed onto the bed, and pulled the blanket over himself completely.
Wow——!
The blinding sunlight suddenly pierced through the darkness, and Yuecunze felt a sudden brightness before his eyes, almost blinding him.
He quickly pulled back the covers and found that Nagasaki Motoyo had already put the bass aside, opened the bedroom curtains, put her hands on her hips, and looked at him helplessly.
Koshimura rubbed his eyes in a daze, and the figure of Nagasaki Motoyo suddenly overlapped with that of a familiar middle-aged woman in front of him.
So that's how it is. Nagasaki Motoyo is the woman who could become my mother!
【? 】
"It's already 11 o'clock, and you're still not up? You don't even open the window to let in some fresh air. The room smells..." Nagasaki Motoyo paused halfway through her sentence, then walked to the window with some confusion. "...Strange, why is your window still open?"
She reached out to check and confirmed that a cool breeze was indeed coming through the crack in the window: "No wonder your voice sounded so nasal."
Wait a minute, I remember the window was definitely closed when I came back—
Feeling the blinding light coming at him, Koshimura covered his eyes with his hand and rolled around in bed in pain, wrapped in the blanket.
"Quick, draw the curtains! Ohhhhhh—" Koshimura Sawa said while rolling around, "Actually, I'm a creature of darkness; I die when I see light..."
How did you make that sound?
Nagasaki Motoyo yanked off his blanket, successfully stopping him from spinning on his own axis while simultaneously revolving around the sun.
She sighed and glanced at the empty iced tea bottles and crumpled tissues scattered on the floor: "They don't even bother to clean up after themselves... My house is cleaner than this."
Koshimura stopped rolling instantly, sat up abruptly, and looked at her with a shocked expression.
What's this, turning the Heavenly Gang upside down?
Nagasaki Motoyo seemed a little embarrassed by his gaze; her fair cheeks flushed slightly. She bent down to pick up the trash on the ground, quickly threw it into the trash can, clapped her hands, and looked at him again.
"Have you eaten?" Her tone softened slightly.
"have eaten."
"What did you eat? When did you eat it?"
No, even checking household registrations doesn't involve this much detail.
Koshimura pointed to the bag on the bedside table.
Nagasaki Motoyo walked over, picked up the package, and took a look.
Instant energy jelly.
It turns out it was caused by a long-term fast food diet.
When I was a kid, I drank this and went to the bathroom to look in the mirror, only to find that it showed I only had ten days left.
I know that this story is also recorded in "The Drummer Can Live for Ten More Days".
Yes, children, I am actually a black cat.
Oh my god, no way.
