Chapter 108 Azkaban
Chapter 108 Azkaban
Draco was completely bewildered when Narcissa summoned him.
When his mother subtly inquired whether Thea had been mistreated at school, Draco's first reaction was disbelief!
Given Thea's personality, she'd be better off not bullying others than being bullied herself!
Just as Draco was about to blurt it out, the image of Thea with "red eyes" from last night flashed into his mind, and his brows furrowed instantly.
Others might not be able to bully Thea, but Dumbledore might be a different story...
Seeing Draco's hesitant expression, Narcissa's heart sank to the bottom.
Draco is her son, and no one in the world knows him better than she does.
If no one at school was bullying Thea, Draco definitely wouldn't look so troubled...
"Tell me, who is it? Is it Dumbledore?"
Narcissa couldn't think of anyone other than Dumbledore who could bully Thea and put Draco in such a difficult position.
“It should be him,” Draco said, still looking hesitant.
"After the banquet last night, Thea was called to the principal's office again and didn't return until 9 p.m. When someone saw Thea come back, her eyes were red, as if she had been crying..."
“What do you mean by ‘again’? Is Thea frequently called to the principal’s office?” Narcissa keenly grasped the key words.
“Since first grade, Thea has been a regular at the principal’s office.”
Draco said honestly.
Why didn't you tell me before?!
Narcissa felt guilty for not noticing Dumbledore's "wolf's ambition" in time, and also annoyed by Draco's "slowness".
If Draco had sent this message home sooner, Thea might not have had to suffer the injustice inflicted by that old bee!
Draco also felt a bad premonition when he noticed Narcissa's unusual seriousness.
Why did Mom suddenly ask about this today?
"Thea just asked me about her mother. I noticed her expression was off, and when I asked her, she wouldn't say anything. I was afraid she was being wronged but wouldn't speak up, so I wanted to ask you about it."
Narcissa briefly described the cause.
"Aunt Bella? Why is Thea suddenly asking about this?" Draco was also puzzled.
The mother and son exchanged a glance, then decisively decided to give up, figuring they could figure things out once Luke/Dad came back.
At that moment, Lucius, who was still at the Ministry of Magic, suddenly felt a chill down his spine, but he didn't take it seriously and didn't know that Thea had prepared another surprise for him.
--------
"What? Thea was bullied?"
Upon hearing this news, Lucius's first reaction was disbelief.
But his wife mentioned Dumbledore's name, which caught Lucius's attention.
"So, Thea brought up Bella today, which is quite unusual, and this is related to Dumbledore?"
Lucius felt like he had two heads to crack. Dumbledore, Thea, Bella, Azkaban—any one of these names was enough to give Lucius a headache, let alone all of them at once!
Why is Dumbledore suddenly targeting Thea, and to such an obvious degree? Could it be...?
Thinking about what he did at the beginning of the semester, Lucius was instantly drenched in cold sweat.
It can't be that much of a coincidence, can it?
With a last shred of relief, Lucius managed to coax Narcissa away and then knocked on Thea's door.
After hearing Thea's agreement, Lucius gently pushed open the door.
The moment Lucius stepped inside, he was so shocked by the familiar notebook on Thea's desk that his heart almost stopped beating!
"This...this..."
Thea watched Lucius's surprised expression with satisfaction, then proudly waved the notebook in her hand and said with a smile, "Does this look familiar? Uncle Lucius."
The girl's sweet smile was like a demon from hell to Lucius.
"...How did you get it..."
Lucius calmed himself down and forced a question.
“I thought Uncle Lucius would thank me right away,” Thea said with a regretful look, then quickly added sharply, “If I hadn’t gotten it before Dumbledore, would the Malfoy family have been able to withstand that man’s wrath?”
Even though Lucius was prepared that Thea might know a lot of information, he still didn't expect that Thea would uncover the biggest secret of this notebook in just one semester!
Seeing that Lucius was stunned by the information she had revealed, Thea calmly dropped a bombshell:
"I'll be going to Azkaban in a few days!"
"what?"
Lucius had completely abandoned aristocratic etiquette, and only one thought remained in his mind: "Heaven is going to destroy me!"
If he really let Thea enter Azkaban at the age of 13, he might be torn to pieces by those opportunists before the Dark Lord even returns!
Thea watched with a mischievous grin as she admired the other person's speechless expression of shock before continuing, "It was Dumbledore who wanted to take me there."
"...Dumbledore?"
Lucius repeated blankly.
"What? Dumbledore wants to take you?"
Lucius's still-intact brain immediately started working at lightning speed, coming up with no fewer than ten strategies to smear Dumbledore's name.
“So, I need your help to appease Aunt Cici and Draco,” Thea’s expression gradually turned serious.
"And before I go to Azkaban, I need legal recognition that I am the sole heir to the Black family!"
"The sole heir?"
Lucius didn't immediately understand what Thea meant.
The Black family... heir...
“You mean, Sirius…”
"Shh!"
Thea stopped the other person from blurting out the guess, "This is just taking precautions, after all, nothing is absolute!"
Thea picked up her teacup and took a small sip, giving Lucius some time to digest.
"Then, I'll have to trouble Uncle Lucius."
Thea smiled gently and harmlessly, a stark contrast to Lucius's wry smile.
Just as Lucius was about to step out of Thea's room, Thea suddenly said, "By the way, how's that little elf named Dobby?"
Lucius turned around, carefully recalling the name, his tone somewhat apprehensive: "A few days after the Hogwarts Quidditch match, I locked it up in the dungeon as you wrote in your letter."
Lucius was puzzled. Since Thea had discovered that Dobby was a traitor, why didn't she let him kill him directly? Instead, she locked him up.
Thea noticed Lucius's confusion. Although she didn't like traitors either, Dobby was the first house-elves to shout for freedom!
“Keep it; it might come in handy later,” Thea thought for a moment, then continued, “Let it out, then send it to the Black family home. Kreacher will keep a close eye on it.”
"Ok."
After agreeing, Lucius walked straight out the door without stopping, afraid that Thea would give him another "surprise"!
