Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 115 Dementors

Chapter 115 Dementors

On the train to Hogwarts.

The three children followed the script and entered Remus Lupin's carriage.

Thea boarded the train without incident.

"Senior Blake!"

Hello, senior!

Because Thea arrived at just the right time, there were many young wizards looking for seats in the train aisle. When they saw Thea arrive, many of them greeted her warmly and tried to stuff the candy and snacks in their hands into her hands.

"Hello!"

Thea found it hard to refuse the other person's kindness and hurriedly accepted the snacks they offered.

After going through countless trials and tribulations, Thea finally arrived at the carriage with the others.

Seeing the uncontrollable smiles on their faces, Thea laughed and scolded, "Well, you guys are all just watching the show, not helping me at all!"

"We just didn't want to bother her because she's so popular!"

Daphne's tone was sarcastic.

This remark made everyone laugh, and in the end, it was Thea who tapped the table to turn the page.

"By the way, how's your practice going?"

Thea asked expectantly.

Draco, looking proud, was the first to answer.

"My dad said I'm just one step away from releasing the guardian spirit!"

Thea nodded.

"And what about you?"

Daphne hesitated for a moment, "I've been learning for a long time, but I can only emit a white light."

“Me too,” Theodore and Zabini said at the same time.

"And what about you, Thea?"

Daphne looked on with anticipation.

Thea shook her head with a wry smile, drawing surprised glances from everyone.

How could that be?

Draco cried out in disbelief.

"I don't know, maybe I just didn't try hard enough!"

Thea was unusually downcast.

Upon seeing this, Daphne immediately changed the subject, saying, "By the way, I heard that we're getting a transfer student this semester!"

Daphne's single sentence immediately drew everyone's attention.

She didn't keep anyone in suspense and told them everything she knew.

"I heard her last name is Rozier and she transferred from Durmstrang."

At this point, Daphne said mysteriously, "I heard that she is also 13 years old this year, and since she is from Durmstrang, she should come to Slytherin, and maybe even be in the same year as us!"

"No way, she never even finished first or second grade, and she's going straight to third grade?" Theodore asked.

"Who knows! After all, I've never heard of any transfer students at Hogwarts!"

Draco looked disdainful and was completely indifferent to the matter. He only had one thought in his mind: to catch up with Thea's progress!

The group continued their discussion, and the atmosphere was peaceful.

As the train traveled further, Thea's unease grew stronger.

Finally, with an emergency stop, all the little wizards were thrown violently forward due to inertia!

Thea wasn't paying attention and almost fell headfirst onto the table.

"Are you alright, Thea?"

The group immediately expressed their concern.

Daphne angrily poked her head out, only to find that many young wizards had also stuck their heads out of the carriage.

Theodore, standing nearby, hurriedly helped Thea up, his cheeks flushed.

What's going on outside?

Thea snapped out of her daze and asked Daphne.

Seeing that she couldn't see anything, Daphne walked over and said, "I don't know..."

"Bang!"

As the glass door slammed shut, the group instinctively drew their wands and stared warily at the doorway.

A tense atmosphere gradually spread.

Gradually, a black strip of cloth floated outside the door, then the cloth gradually extended until finally a whole, sky-covering black shadow was pasted on the door.

Draco couldn't help but grip his wand tightly, wishing he could cast the spell right now.

"Shh!"

The dark figure stood outside the door for a long time. The group thought the other party shouldn't be able to get in, and they relaxed slightly. But at that moment, the door suddenly opened!

Since Thea arrived last, she sat on the outside of the sofa, closest to the carriage door.

The first person to be injured when the Dementors entered was Thea!

"Flames are raging!"

Theodore suddenly unleashed a burst of energy, firing a fire spell at the shadowy figure. However, because Thea was right next to the shadowy figure, Theodore hesitated to strike and did not perform at his best.

Everyone was stunned for only a second, and then, one petrification spell and flame spell after another shot towards the black shadow.

But what frightened everyone was that although the spell clearly hit its target, it seemed to have no effect on the shadowy figure at all.

The spells cast by the group had no effect on the Dementor; instead, they accelerated the Dementor's process of absorbing pleasure.

"Snapped!"

Thea's wand fell limply to the ground!

Daphne's hand then fell to the ground!

Faced with such a horrifying scene, it was as if all joy had vanished...

"Protect Me!" x3

In that instant, the description in the book flashed through the minds of the three boys...

As three beams of white light of varying sizes appeared, the Dementors finally stopped consuming pleasure.

Just then, a blindingly white, animal-shaped beam of light swept across the carriage, blocking the Dementors from entering the room.

"Thea!"

"Thea..."

Thea felt as if she were having a dream, a dream in which a woman screamed in agony, but strangely, Thea felt no emotion whatsoever...

As the woman's voice grew increasingly faint, Thea woke up amidst the anxious gazes of the others.

Am I asleep?

Thea asked, somewhat confused.

“I’m sorry, Thea, I should have tried harder,” Draco said with a guilty look. “If I could have released the Patronus, you wouldn’t have fallen unconscious.”

"It's also my fault. Thea had warned us a long time ago, but we weren't prepared..." Theodore was also very remorseful.

"I should have let me sit outside. I'm tough, the Dementors definitely wouldn't have done anything to me!" Zabini was unusually remorseful.

"I……"

Seeing that Daphne was about to speak, Thea quickly stopped her, "How can you blame yourself? No one could have predicted the arrival of the Dementors..."

Seeing that Thea was pale but still tried to comfort them, the others stopped blaming themselves and quickly unwrapped the chocolates on the table and handed them to Thea.

“We remember reading in the book that chocolate is very useful.”

Thea obediently accepted the chocolate and took a sip of the honey tea that Theodore had prepared.

After feeling warm all over, Thea fell asleep again.

The remaining few exchanged glances, each seeing a burning flame in the other's eyes—they absolutely could not let Thea encounter the Dementors again!

She has helped us so many times, we can't just stand by and watch her faint in front of us again!

The group made up their minds and began to think about their next training direction, intending to learn from the professor who could release a guardian spirit!

While Thea was unconscious, the group had already found out who had released the guardian spirit.

Although the other party was dressed in rags, they were the fastest way for them to learn the Guardian Charm!
