Struggling to survive at Hogwarts

Chapter 128 The Fat Lady's Horror

Chapter 128 The Fat Lady's Horror

Sometimes, Thea felt from the bottom of her heart that besides the curse on the Defense Against the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts, perhaps even Halloween was cursed.

Thinking back to the troll incident in first grade and the first petrification incident of the basilisk in second grade, and this year there's also the Sirius Black intrusion incident.

Thea genuinely felt that there was something wrong with the feng shui of Hogwarts.

Rewind to when Thea used the Disillusionment Charm to try and avoid the crowds to return to the castle.

Because there was a Halloween dinner today, Thea didn't go back to her dorm room, but went straight from the Forbidden Forest back to the lobby.

Thea looked around and quickly found her target.

She listened quietly to their conversation, and soon, she seized the opportunity to speak subtly during a break in their conversation, her words flowing smoothly like a drop of water merging into the ocean, as if she had always been there.

After answering some of the student's academic questions, Thea apologized and said she had to leave.

Several Ravenclaws turned their heads to look, and sure enough, Draco and the others were waving at Thea.

"By the way, when did Thea arrive?"

In just about half an hour, they changed their address for Thea from Miss Black to Thea.

"She's been here for a while, hasn't she? It seems like she's been here since we started discussing her, but she hasn't said a word."

"I remember that too."

Thea, who hadn't gone far, smiled contentedly. It was that simple, wasn't it?

If you simply add a few words to your speech that imply you've been there a long time, when they come to their senses and try to find evidence, they will subconsciously recall the evidence you just mentioned.

When Draco and the others saw Thea approaching, they immediately began to chatter on about what they had seen and heard after Thea and her companion left.

But before Draco could finish expressing his opinion on the Elegance clothing store, he was interrupted by a scream coming from the Gryffindor staircase.

The familiar time, the familiar screams.

Draco blurted out, "What did Potter and the others do this time?!"

The people around frowned at the screams and looked up toward the source of the sound.

A short while later, Dumbledore also hurried upstairs, followed by Filch carrying an oil lamp.

The young wizard downstairs, seeing this, also waited curiously for Dumbledore's conclusion.

After waiting for a while, everyone finally received the news that all teachers and students would have to sleep on the floor in the lobby!

Draco's face turned green, and the other young wizards didn't look too good either.

Ultimately, however, the young wizards' rebellion was suppressed by the professors, who had no choice but to obey them.

Looking at the purple sleeping bag in front of her, Thea didn't seem to mind, but she was a little disappointed. She wished she hadn't gone to Hogsmeade today, as she still had a copy of "The Broken Ball: When Doom Comes" to finish reading.

Despite the hard floor, Thea fell into a deep sleep, exhausted, and naturally didn't hear Dumbledore and Snape's conversation.

When Dumbledore's gaze "inadvertently" swept over the Slytherin area again, Snape immediately understood and lowered his voice to say:

"She probably didn't have time today. She didn't get back until 5 p.m., then she finished two papers and spent half a day in the lobby discussing with a few Ravenclaws."

“Oh,” Dumbledore nodded, “I’ve seen her schedule too, and to be honest, it’s remarkable that she’s managed to keep it up all this time.”

Snape's lips twitched, unsure whether he should go along with what the other person was saying, or...

Snape quickly came to an answer to the question, “Perhaps, but I think someone else is more likely to help Black.”

His gaze fell upon Lu Ping, who was patrolling in the distance.

Dumbledore followed his gaze and said, "It can't be him, and I believe him."

Snape wasn't surprised, but he tightened his grip on his wand and stared intently at the figure.

A short while later, McGonagall rushed over, and Snape tactfully walked away.

"Did you find it?"

Dumbledore smiled and handed him a piece of candy.

McGonagall took it and said, “We’ve found out. Black entered the Gryffindor common room using Longbottom’s password. He wrote all the passwords down on a piece of paper, which Black got his hands on.”

Dumbledore nodded, then popped another candy into his mouth. "Thank you for your hard work, Minerva."

McGonagall chuckled. "It's what I should do."

After saying that, McGonagall turned around and continued to patrol the Gryffindor area.

Looking out the window in the moonlight, Dumbledore sighed softly, for reasons unknown.

The next day, when all the young wizards woke up, without exception, they all had muscle soreness.

Draco did the same, casting several beauty spells to get rid of his dark circles, muttering to himself, "...I absolutely have to write a letter to my dad..."

"Alright, Draco! You've been reading for a whole lesson!"

Draco's rambling went on for the entire class, much to the displeasure of his partner, Daphne.

Seeing that Daphne was serious, Draco could only shut up in frustration.

"By the way, Thea, isn't the next class Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

Seeing that Draco had finally calmed down, Daphne asked Thea in a good mood.

"Yes, Professor Lupin is probably going to tell us about the Lake Horse Monster."

But when the group arrived at the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, they found that the professor had changed from Professor Lupin to Professor Snape.

The young wizards immediately fell silent, obediently following Snape's instructions and turning to the page about werewolves.

Seeing Professor Snape's dark expression, the young wizards dared not utter a single question.

Seeing this, Snape's eyes showed a hint of satisfaction.

Slytherin students are indeed obedient, unlike those stupid lions who only know how to go against the professor!

After the lesson, the young wizards were incredibly nervous, each of them using their fastest fingers to try and write down every single word their headmaster said.

Thanks to the cooperation of the young wizards, Snape successfully finished teaching the entire werewolf lesson in just one class, and even highlighted the more important points.

Seeing a thoughtful look appear in the eyes of those most troublesome Slytherin brats, Snape was satisfied.

Let's see if you dare to go looking for "Professor Lu Ping" again!

But just a few days later, when Snape caught those brats again outside the Defense Against the Dark Arts office, he was absolutely furious!

So you didn't listen to a single word of my lectures?!

Enraged, Professor Snape dragged the snakes into the Potions Department office.
