Tomb Raider: Call Me Dragon Vein Cleaner

Chapter 53 Escape

Chapter 53 Escape

At this critical juncture, Chen Wenjin revealed the ruthlessness that was inherent in his character.

She raised her water gun and aimed it at the water monkey whose shape she could already see.

This underwater weapon is an alternative type of crossbow, and the arrows used are made of pure steel, making it extremely powerful underwater.

Chen Wenjin pulled the trigger, and the long arrow pierced through the seawater and went straight into the water monkey's body.

It brought out a clump of green blood.

After successfully taking away a water monkey, Chen Wenjin casually threw the water gun away and picked up her small dagger.

Cheng Feng, standing beside her, held a crossbow bolt he had retrieved from the imaginary space and looked at Chen Wenjin with the eyes of someone looking at an idiot.

When she saw the crossbow bolts in Cheng Fengshui's hand, she was somewhat disarmed.

Embarrassed, Chen Wenjin blushed and turned away from Cheng Feng and Huo Ling's gaze.

Huo Ling shook her head, first taking down a sea monkey with a single arrow, then taking the arrow from Cheng Feng's hand.

It took about ten seconds to reinstall the arrow.

But the arrow failed. The water monkey realized how powerful their weapon was and swam even more gracefully.

Seeing that there was no time left to reload, Huo Ling threw away the water gun in her hand.

Amidst the two women's astonished gazes, Cheng Feng also threw away the dagger in his hand.

Chen Wenjin pointed with a puzzled look at the dagger that had fallen into the depths of the water plants and asked Cheng Feng what was going on.

Before he could answer, Cheng Feng used both hands to pull both girls to his side at the same time.

Just then, the water monkey approached the three of them. At the critical moment, Cheng Feng activated his Ghost Eye.

For a fleeting moment, the seawater ahead seemed to empty out, and at the same time, seven or eight sea monkeys and a large patch of seaweed abruptly disappeared.

Then Cheng Feng followed the same method, opening up imaginary space in several locations in turn.

They collected countless amounts of seawater, along with over thirty water monkeys.

After Cheng Feng banished all the water monkeys in sight, the surrounding area became empty.

Even the water plants hanging from the top were instantly pulled away by the force of the tug.

After dealing with the immediate crisis, Cheng Feng squeezed the two women's hands.

They also came to their senses and looked at Cheng Feng with strange expressions.

Cheng Feng smiled and winked at the two little potatoes, then released them and swam forward.

The two women followed Cheng Feng, filled with questions and shock.

The inhuman scenes they encountered while following Cheng Feng had almost numbed them.

Thus, they all simultaneously wondered in their hearts: "Is this guy even a human being?"

After dealing with the water monkeys, the three of them moved through the seaweed without encountering any further attacks.

They searched along the wall for a full half hour before finally finding the exit.

It was a huge gap blasted open by explosives, but the gap was completely covered by mud and sand.

When the three swam closer, Cheng Feng discovered a passage in the mud and sand.

However, it has been destroyed. It seems that the surviving water monkeys escaped from here and destroyed the passage in the process.

The two women looked at Cheng Feng, seemingly asking him what to do.

Cheng Feng said, "What else can I do? Come on, put your little hands in my palms."

If you don't hold them, the pulling force when collecting seawater can easily pull them into the imaginary space.

After his hands were grabbed by the two women, Cheng Feng used his Ghost Eye to banish the mud and seawater in front of him into the imaginary space.

Apart from the three who remained motionless, all the surrounding marine life was pulled into the imaginary space by the pulling force.

As the two women watched the various fish and seaweed passing by, they felt as if they were in an unrealistic dream.

Soon, Cheng Feng stopped collecting the silt, as continuing would only cause more trouble.

The sudden loss of a large amount of seawater on the seabed could easily cause an underwater earthquake due to uneven pressure, and Cheng Feng didn't want to die from such self-inflicted trouble.

Fortunately, they managed to break through the silt layer before causing even bigger trouble.

The three swam out of the silt layer through the gap and returned to the upper ocean.

Cheng Feng gestured to the two women, and they swam towards the sea.

A few minutes later, Cheng Feng was the first to pop half of his body out of the sea, take a few deep breaths, and look around.

Finding no boats within sight, he then waved to the two women from underwater.

Only then did they float to the surface of the sea with oxygen tanks on their backs.

"It seems Jie Lianhuan and his men have left. Cheng Feng, what do we do next?"

Chen Wenjin placed her hopes on Cheng Feng.

Huo Ling placed her hand on Cheng Feng's shoulder for support and said, looking slightly tired, "We can't really swim back, can we? I can't swim anymore!"

"Say a nice cry, and I'll grant your wish that you won't swim back!"

Cheng Feng glanced at Huo Ling, who was pressing down on his shoulder, and said irritably.

Huo Ling not only didn't restrain herself, but instead leaned half her body on Cheng Feng's shoulder and started acting like a rogue.

"You're an octopus! Let go of me right now!"

Cheng Feng disdainfully pressed Huo Ling's head down with his other hand, attempting to push her away.

Chen Wenjin waded through the water and called out helplessly:

"Cheng Feng, Xiao Ling, can you two stop being so childish?"

"I'm talking to you, Huo Ling. How childish are you? Let go right now."

Cheng Feng grabbed Huo Ling's small face with his big hand, squeezing her features together.

Huo Ling shook her head, but after struggling several times, she could not escape Cheng Feng's control and had no choice but to let go of him.

"You have the nerve to call me childish? It's clearly you, but you insist on me calling you something nice."

Huo Ling was very unconvinced. She felt that if Chen Wenjin hadn't suddenly interrupted her train of thought,

She could have easily climbed onto Cheng Feng's back, and wouldn't have gotten down until he finished his business.

Unfortunately, before it could be implemented, it was seized by a pair of dark hands.

"Stop! Cheng Feng, how much longer do you plan to stay in the water? Hurry up and get the boat out."

Chen Wenjin stopped the two from arguing and said to Cheng Feng with a helpless expression.

"I don't have any proper ships here, but I do have this."

As they were speaking, a lifeboat suddenly appeared on the horizon.

We have this thing thanks to Qi Yu's sponsorship.

Huo Ling's eyes lit up, and she immediately swam to the lifeboat and climbed up with great effort.

"Sister Wenjin, come quick, I'll help you up!"

After the three climbed onto the lifeboat, Chen Wenjin couldn't help but sigh:

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I would never have imagined that someone could actually produce objects out of thin air."

As Cheng Feng collected the used oxygen cylinders into his imaginary space, he said:

"This world is very complex, and what you know is less than the tip of the iceberg."

Chen Wenjin and Huo Ling were both quite excited.

As descendants of a tomb-raiding family, they possessed a stronger desire for exploration than ordinary people, and thus, an idea began to take root in their minds.

After the three of them worked hard, they finally returned to land at around 1 a.m.

"Wenjin, do you have a safe house in Xisha?"
