Chapter 413 Not hungry?!
No sooner had Malfoy finished speaking than Harry's fist slammed into him.
They started rolling around and fighting.
Darren tried to stop him, but Ron held him back.
"Don't worry about them. Their attacks won't hurt each other at all. At most, they'll break a nose, which Madam Pomfrey can fix with a wave of her wand."
I have something to tell you: Hermione seems to be going on a hunger strike.
She heard Nick, who was almost headless, say this last night.
Our food is prepared by house-elves, and no one pays house-elves.
She hasn't eaten since last night, and she'll be hungry again this morning. It seems she's trying to get justice for her house-elves in this way.
Darren opened his mouth in astonishment.
The House-Elf rights protection incident... Why should we tell him about this?
Should we make him, the little saint, go on a hunger strike with Hermione or protect the house-elves?
Darren felt a little guilty when he thought of his Patty.
If Hermione knew that he never paid Patchouli, that Patchouli had to earn money for him, support his family, and now even help him with some things.
Hermione might go crazy.
Darren complained.
He knew this day would come.
In fact, Ron shouldn't have told him this; that way, he could have pretended not to know.
They can also pretend to be the most honest person.
However, now that he knew, Darren certainly couldn't continue like this.
He has to react in some way.
Otherwise, his public image might collapse.
Of course, he should react even more violently than Hermione, so that Ron and the others won't tell him to do things that are difficult for him in the future.
Ok.
That's it.
Darren quickly came up with a plan. Then he looked at Ron.
His brows furrowed.
An expression of disbelief crossed his face.
"I know the food we eat is made by house-elves, but don't they get paid?"
Ron was stunned.
He stammered, "No way, Darren, you think so too..." As soon as he finished speaking, he realized he had said something pointless.
How could Darren not think that way?
He thought Darren would be concerned about Hermione, but it turned out he was concerned about the house-elves.
Darren, of course, noticed his surprise.
He pursed his lips and said, "I'm also very worried about Hermione. I'll have Patchouli bring Hermione some food in a bit."
But I won't be eating at Hogwarts anymore, unless Headmaster Dumbledore pays the house-elves!
"But, but..."
Ron was speechless.
He really wanted to slap himself hard across the face right now.
That's just too despicable.
He shouldn't have told Darren.
Now look what's happened; Hermione has become like this, and Darren has become like this too.
"You really won't eat any?"
Ron said hesitantly.
Darren shook his head. He now asks Patsy to bring him some breakfast from home when he gets up in the morning.
The little elf is a master at delivering takeout.
The soy milk and fried dough sticks were still hot when they arrived.
He usually eats almost everything in his dorm room these days, and he's not hungry at breakfast in the auditorium. He just grabs some bread and juice to pretend he's eating.
Of course, he can skip it. Besides, he ate too much this morning. He might even skip lunch.
but.
"I'll go find Patchouli first, and I'll ask her to make Hermione something to eat!"
Darren immediately said.
He planned to have Patchouli tell Hermione that he would give Patchouli money every month, even though he was poor now, he would still squeeze out money to give Patchouli.
This needs to be explained.
If Hermione had asked Patchouli, and Patchouli had given the exact words, then Hermione would definitely suspect him of abusing house-elves.
His public image will be ruined then.
With that thought in mind, he immediately turned and ran away.
Ron was filled with regret.
Harry, having just finished fighting with Malfoy, wiped the bruises from his face and looked at Ron with a hint of resentment.
"Why did you tell him so quickly? If Darren knew the consequences of this, he would be in much worse shape than Hermione."
Harry said helplessly.
But he couldn't persuade Darren to eat.
We could only pin our hopes on lunch.
"Actually, Hermione ate a little this morning."
Just now, when I was slapping Malfoy's face, I saw her eat a piece of steak, then take some bread and leave.
So, maybe Darren will eat lunch when he gets hungry?
Although I don't have high hopes for this... How did Hermione come up with the idea of raising the wages and benefits of house-elves?
And Ron, what were you thinking, telling Darren about this?
Harry said unhappily.
Ron kicked the table in regret and frustration, saying, "Fine, fine, I didn't do it on purpose. I just wanted Darren to talk to Hermione. How could I have imagined it would turn out like this?"
"Your brain is only good for getting filled with water!"
Malfoy said sarcastically from the side.
"You're looking for a fight!"
Ron raised his wand, and Malfoy wiped his nose. He saw Harry in front of Ron and snorted.
"I don't want to argue with you right now!"
Malfoy, along with Crabbe and Goyle, hurriedly left.
Ron put down his wand and said smugly, "He must be scared."
"Yes, but I'm still worried about Darren..."
Harry said hesitantly.
They decided to go to Slater and wait for Darren.
As soon as they reached the corner of the Slytherin common room, they saw Patchouli talking to Darren.
And Patty cried a lot.
"Is Darren planning to expel your elves?"
Ron asked suspiciously.
Harry looked at the scene with a bit of surprise.
He whispered, "It might be true. Let's go listen. If Darren expelled this house-elf, he will definitely be taken back by the Potter family."
Then I can continue to support him!
Harry and Ron quickly slipped over to Patsy.
Then they heard Patty's voice.
“Master Darren, please don’t raise Patty’s salary anymore. You’re out of money.”
