The man remained silent; Lin Chen's words had put him in another difficult position.

"So you're determined to protect her?" the man asked.

Lin Chen reached out and put his arm around Xia Mi's shoulder.

Xia Mi was taken aback, but she was still restrained by Lin Chen's power.

The man nodded: "Understood."

"If you understand, then let's call it a day." Lin Chen checked his watch. "It's getting late, everyone should go home and rest."

"Afraid?"

Lin Chen said calmly, "There's no need for harsh words. You won't fight me here."

The man nodded: "You're right, this is indeed not the final battlefield."

His figure slowly retreated, eventually disappearing into the shadows.

The surroundings had become completely quiet. Lin Chen looked around and saw that everything here had become ruins, and even the entire dome seemed to be about to collapse.

"Let's go!" Lin Chen said.

Xia Mi looked at the skeleton in the altar: "Then what about him?"

Lin Chen stretched out his hand, his palm gliding over the bones, which were then absorbed into the Alchemy Kingdom, within the spatial opening.

A hint of sadness flashed across Xia Mi's face.

Lin Chen patted Xia Mi's head: "I'll tell you a secret."

"What?" Xia Mi asked, bewildered.

"Bronze and fire..." Lin Chen said softly, "...not completely dead!"

Xia Mi's eyes widened suddenly. She stared at Lin Chen in disbelief, as if she were looking at the Grim Reaper.

The two took the elevator back to the ground.

The ice cellar was built to a very high standard, and even so, the elevator was still barely usable.

When the two stepped onto the ground, someone was waiting for them.

Those were Mai and Finger, and beside them lay Parsley, bound by ropes.

Lin Chen's gaze did not linger on Percy, but instead looked around the campus.

Lin Chen followed Fingel to the side, and Fingel lowered his voice: "Boss, what exactly happened down there just now?"
