Bang bang bang! Bang bang bang!
The bewildered robbers fired repeatedly in their subconscious, not even realizing they had run out of bullets. As Su approached, they threw down their guns and charged at her.
“…Bang!”
"boom!"
With two thuds, the two robbers fell to the ground, immediately unconscious.
"What were you thinking?" Su asked, looking at Nick who emerged from behind the shelves. "Was this situation really worth me coming over?"
“I’m afraid of killing them,” Nick explained.
You're afraid of killing them, so you're stuck here and begging me for help? What kind of logic is that?
Nick glanced at the still-shaken Rosalie and whispered to Su, "Can't you use their energy to turn them into ordinary people? Even if they're dead, you can do that?"
"Don't tell me you're doing this for my sake? That's not like you at all. You can do whatever you want, but Rosalie is in danger too. As a police officer, protecting Rosalie should be your top priority."
"I knew you could appear instantly, so I did this to make sure Rosalie was safe."
Nick paused for a moment and explained, "You provided the clues and made the suggestion for this case. You didn't want the credit, and you didn't get any other benefits, so I thought I could let you take their power. Otherwise, I would always feel like I'm taking advantage of you."
"And I have something else I'd like to ask for your help with. My aunt told me some things before she passed away, and I..."
"Your aunt passed away? When did that happen?" Su remembered that his aunt was still alive not long ago, so how could she have suddenly passed away?
“It was during the few days you went on vacation.” Nick’s tone was heavy and sad.
Well, quite a few things happened during his vacation. He missed the Eagle Monster incident, and now he's missed Aunt Nick's death too.
"She still owes me a life," said Mrs. Su with some regret. (Coincidentally.)
Chapter 204 I Don't Need a Key to Find Treasure
Sue was genuinely saddened by Aunt Nick's death. That was a ready-made source of Grimm's power; perhaps the chakra pills she forged could awaken supernatural powers, granting her the ability to see through Vinson without even opening her Byakugan. What a pity.
Nick took out the red fishing rod and fished out the chakra energy of two lizard monsters, which he then refined into chakra pills and stored away. Nick notified his colleagues to come and take the lizard monsters back to the police station for questioning. Before long, the two lizard monsters confessed to the crimes of robbery and murder, and the case was officially closed.
After thanking Sue and Nick, Rosalie originally planned to close the shop and leave Portland after handling her brother's funeral arrangements, but Sue's words changed her mind.
"You said this is the Green Committee's liaison point? My brother is the Green Committee's liaison?" Rosalie looked at Su in surprise: "How did you know?"
"How I know this is not important. You should be able to find the letters of communication when you are sorting through the belongings," said Madam Su.
Rosalie looked at Su with suspicion: "Why are you telling me this?"
Sue shrugged: "Perhaps it's more convenient for me if you stay in Portland; I should be able to use your knowledge of herbalism."
“Um… feel free to contact me anytime if you need help. As for whether you want to stay, I’ll seriously consider it,” Rosalie said.
"it is good."
After exchanging numbers with Rosalie, Sue went to the police station.
Although the lizard monster's energy was extracted, the police station still held other Vison monsters. Chief Sean Leonard had deliberately locked them all up together and sent the others away to make it easier for the Su family to take action.
It feels pretty good to harvest these leeks. According to Sean Leonard, he can harvest them every few days, which saves time and effort while also giving these criminals a real punishment outside the law.
Regarding the matter of Adaline, Sean Leonard also expressed his apologies to Sue and stated that he had expelled her as a sign of sincerity.
Knowing the outcome already, Su remained silent and did not comment.
In the evening, after get off work.
Sue and Nick arrived at an abandoned car parking lot. He left his aunt's trailer there, because what if those who recognized his aunt's trailer, Vincent, secretly caused trouble?
The Su family had wanted to see this trailer for a long time, not for any weapons or equipment, but solely for the information on the Vison Monster recorded by the Green family over many years. While Eddie Monroe was a walking encyclopedia, it certainly couldn't compare to the extensive information recorded in these diaries.
"Do you recognize this kind of key?" Nick handed a key with an antique design to Sue.
Su took it and glanced at it: "This is the key to the treasure that your Green family has kept for generations. Your aunt was hunted down because of it. There are seven of these keys in total. Legend has it that they contain a treasure that can change the world. The royal family really wants it."
"A treasure trove of power to change the world? Do you know what it is?" Nick asked curiously.
Su was really unsure what the treasure was. It seemed to be a small wooden stick that looked like a magic wand? And it was quite powerful. He couldn't remember any other functions, but it could revive people.
However, he remembered the location of the treasure.
The Black Forest of Germany!
Would you like to take a look?
Although he didn't have the key and didn't know the exact location of the treasure, he remembered that the place was the Black Forest in Germany. Although the Black Forest covers a total area of 6000 square kilometers, there was a landmark that could narrow down the search area.
A church.
There's a mountain near the church, and the treasure is hidden inside that mountain!
“I’m not sure what the treasure is, but it’s likely a magic wand with powerful magic.” Sue thought for a moment and said to Nick, “I’m going to go look for it.”
Nick was taken aback: "Find it? How do we find it? Don't we need to collect all seven keys to find the treasure?"
"That's you guys. I don't need any keys or maps, just a little time," Su said with a smile. "I think this treasure would make a nice collectible. Would you like to come with me?"
Nick shook his head: "I'm not interested in the treasure, and you said the royal family wants it. If you can really find it, my key won't matter, and it should save a lot of trouble."
Nick isn't fully integrated into Green's world like he is in the TV series, nor is he gradually becoming involved with Sean Leonard and the royal family because of the key. Therefore, he has no interest in the treasure that the key represents and prefers to return to his normal police life.
Sue neither confirmed nor denied this. The reason she asked Nick if he wanted to come along was because he had asked about the treasure. Moreover, the treasure was found by the Green family. It would be somewhat dishonest for him to say he didn't know what the treasure was, but then secretly find it himself.
"May I copy a copy of the diary left by your family?" Su asked, changing the subject.
“Uh, sure, but there are a lot of these diaries, so it might take some time if you want to copy them,” Nick said.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Su summoned several shadow clones, who, under Nick's dumbfounded gaze, began frantically taking pictures of several thick stacks of diaries.
The sounds of pages turning and cameras clicking filled the air, and the constant flashes of light illuminated the otherwise dimly lit trailer.
“They’ll leave on their own after filming. If you’re comfortable with that, you can lock the door and leave beforehand. You don’t need to wait for them,” Sue told Nick, then asked if he had any other questions.
Nick actually had a lot of questions he wanted to ask. Although his aunt had given him a lot of instructions before she passed away, he was still completely confused about Vinson and Green. There were many unanswered questions. But the most important mystery of the key had been solved, and he was still bewildered by Sue's 'shadow clone'. For a moment, he really didn't know what to ask.
"I'm leaving now. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask them." After saying that, Ms. Su quickly got off the trailer and returned home.
Night, dim.
Su lay in bed, trying hard to recall her memories of the treasure, and also trying to recall and organize the plot of the entire Grimm's novel.
The early episodes of Grimm are similar to those of Supernatural, mainly focusing on inheriting the family business and leveling up by fighting monsters. The later main storylines, with opponents like the royal family, rebels, and Talon, are all relatively easy to defeat. The final big boss seems to be a dark creature from mythology.
Destroyer, Satan, demon god, with many names, exists in another world? It is said to appear in the Bible and many myths, and there are prophecies about merging and ruling two worlds.
The magic wand in the treasure, that little wooden stick seems to be part of his big wooden stick, whose real name is the Staff of Destruction.
……
P.S.: I'm feeling a bit lost. My already pitifully low subscription rate is dropping every day. Regarding the writing, if I make the entire series on Grimm too long, especially since it's an episodic format, some people will find it drawn-out or padded. If I make each episode shorter, some people will find it disorganized. Finding the right balance is so difficult, especially since I'm writing as I watch the series—it's incredibly challenging.
Chapter 205 A Grimm Story Triggered by a Small Stick
Although he doesn't remember the exact plot details, based on the fragments of the plot he knows and logical analysis, Sue roughly deduced a possibility that may not be accurate, or rather, a chronicle of the play "Greene".
Long, long ago, the Grimm family, Grimm Biotechnology (Vison), the royal family, and the Grimm Biotechnology Committee were locked in a chaotic battle.
In order to acquire more wealth and greater power, the royal family launched the Fourth Crusade and reached an agreement with the Grimm family to form a knightly order with the Grimm as its main members.
Later, when the royal family and the Grimm were plundering wealth, the Grimm clan discovered a powerful treasure (the small wooden stick of the Staff of Destruction). They may have known it was related to the Destroyer, or they may not have known but were worried that the small wooden stick was too powerful, so they decided to hide it from the royal family and made seven keys to give to seven Grimm knights for safekeeping.
One of the seven knights who held the key betrayed them, betraying information about the secret treasure. This led to the Grimm family suffering heavy losses in a royal attack, and the documents concerning the treasure and the secret treasure that the Grimm knights possessed were burned in the war.
The royal family hunted down the Grimm family everywhere in order to obtain the key. The Grimm Knights who possessed the key scattered, and the Grimm officially went into hiding all over the world.
Nick's ancestor was one of the seven Grimm Knights, which is why he has the family key.
The entire series began and ended because of the treasure, but in the process, the royal family was abolished, the Green Committee was abolished, and all kinds of organizations, big and small, were abolished.
As for the Grimm family? After discovering the treasure and obtaining seven keys, they were basically rendered useless, scattered across the world, their numbers drastically reduced.
If we work backward from the result, what caused all of this was a part of the Staff of Destruction, namely the treasure stick. The owner of the Staff of Destruction, the Destroyer, lived in another world, a world where Grimm creatures could not transform into humans. How did he get the stick into this world?
Assuming this is the Destroyer's conspiracy, or corresponds to a legendary prophecy, its effects are indeed remarkable; the world's living forces have suffered a tremendous blow as part of the war of destruction.
Many years later, when the little wooden stick reappeared, the Destroyer 'could' sense its situation and use it to lure Grinnick into his world. Then, through Grinnick, he came to this world, fulfilling the prophecy and merging the two worlds!
Su vaguely remembered a few key points: one had to go through a mirror to enter and exit the two worlds; only witches and the holders of the small wooden sticks could enter; and only Grimm could bring the Destroyer to this world.
Therefore, in the TV series, the Destroyer could only create some anomalies through the mirror to attract Juliet Hill, who had become a witch, into the mirror world. Grinnick followed her in, and when the two left, because of Grinnick, the Destroyer successfully entered this world through the mirror and began to wreak havoc.
In addition, Adaline's daughter with Sean Leonard and her child with Nick are also targets of the Destroyer. As for the reason, Sue doesn't know. It seems that Adaline's daughter has a lot of power? He doesn't remember this part.
There's also the rumor that the blood of Grimm, Grimm, and the witch—three incompatible blood types—can create a potion to kill the Destroyer, but it doesn't seem to work.
In short, the story of Grimm is actually a series of events triggered by a small stick.
What would happen if I got my hands on the small wooden stick?
Will the Destroyer come after me?
Can I go to the Destroyer's world?
What quality will the Destroyer's chakra energy possess?
Wouldn't it be more valuable to collect if you got the complete Staff of Destruction?
The series of questions made Su more and more curious, more and more restless, and more and more eager to act.
At first, what attracted Sue to the show was the variety of Vison monsters, which satisfied his curiosity about supernatural creatures. However, as he encountered more and more Vison monsters, their appeal diminished. But after Nick picked up the key, Sue's curiosity about the treasure, the other world, the Destroyer, and the War of Destruction was completely aroused!
The next morning, after having breakfast with Juliet Hill, Sue had her shadow clone drive to the airport to board a plane to Germany, while she herself teleported to Eddie Monroe's house.
"Wow." Eddie Monroe was startled. "How did you suddenly get here? I mean, what happened that you teleported here so early in the morning?"
"If you want to collect something, shouldn't you find out its origin?"
Sue's question made Eddie Monroe pause for a few seconds, then subconsciously said, "Of course, if you don't even know what it is, how can the meaning and value of collecting be demonstrated? Wait, are you trying to collect something but don't know its origin? You... you haven't been scammed, have you?"
