Normally, someone like that should go to a magic academy!
Emma muttered something like that as she found a seat in the first row and took out her textbook to preview the material.
Dark glanced at Emma on the right side of the front row, but his mind was preoccupied with whether there were any magic cards that could alleviate his current predicament.
I don't seek to eradicate the demonic bloodline, but only to absorb some negative emotions, or perhaps to calm people's minds.
Chapter 9 Darkdemon accidentally stumbles into a demon's lair
The professor of magic is Professor Kazel—an alchemy master with goblin blood!
In an era where magical technology was gradually replacing ancient alchemical techniques, Professor Kazel's position was actually somewhat awkward.
However, this does not prevent him from being equally proficient in magical techniques.
Professor Kazel did not delve into overly complex concepts in the first lesson of Magic Theory. Instead, he simply introduced the students to some basic knowledge about magic cards.
Magic cards are divided into five categories: Spirit Cards, Magic Cards, Item Cards, Field Cards, and Ritual Cards.
In addition to these, there are God Cards and Mystery Cards!
God Cards are cards that possess "divine power".
The Mystery Card refers to the "Unknown Card"!
Professor Kazel mainly talked about Elf Cards in this lesson.
Spirit cards are magic cards that can summon magical spirits!
The Elf Card has seven main data points.
1. True Name: Only by calling out the true name can the magical spirit be summoned.
Level 2: The number of stars represents the level of the spirit. Normal summoning spells can only summon spirits of one to four stars. Spirits of four stars and above require special summoning spells for advancement!
3 Races: There are fifteen races in the Elf Cards, namely Human, Demi-human, Dragon, Angel, Demon, Undead, Elemental, Fairy, Mechanical, Insect, Reptile, Bird and Beast, Plant, Fish, and Phantom God!
4 Attributes: There are 20 attributes in Pokémon cards, namely Normal, Fire, Water, Electric, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, Steel, Fairy, Light, and Dark!
5. Magic Power: Magic Power is both health and the energy used to unleash special attacks. Once Magic Power reaches 0, the Magic Spirit will disappear and cannot be summoned for a short period of time until Magic Power is replenished.
6. Attack and Defense: The attack and defense capabilities of the sprite displayed numerically.
7. Ultimate Skill: The spirit's skill, which consumes magic power to activate. White cards have no skills, blue cards have one skill, purple cards have two skills, and orange cards have three skills.
……
To illustrate the point more clearly, Professor Kazel took out a Spirit Card as a demonstration.
And in front of the new students, he summoned a giant white python emitting deep freezing air!
That four-star giant python, a reptile with ice attributes, gave the new students, who were new to the area and unaware of the dangers, a real fright!
……
With the conclusion of the Magic Theory, the freshmen seemed to be freed from their predicament and rushed out of the classroom, heading towards the cafeteria in twos and threes.
For students of this age, the classes on magic theory are indeed a bit boring.
But Dark listened very attentively!
Even before the course ended, he saw the notification that "Greed +1" had been added!
Then he discovered it.
Greed is a deep-seated desire that transcends ordinary desires!
His "desire to alleviate the current predicament" was seen as "greed"!
Even if he tries to dart out during class, it's still not good!
This completely overturned his theory of daydreaming.
But he did gain something from this class.
The sheer number of races and attributes of magic cards, especially magic spirit cards, exceeded his imagination!
The Angel race and the Phantom God race are both races with divine power!
"The Divine Race is said to be exclusive to God Cards, and there are only a handful in the entire world. But the Angel Race is just a rare race. If we could get our hands on one or two Angel Race Magical Spirit Cards..."
Using divine power to counter the power of demons is common sense in any world.
Dak felt he might have found a clue.
However, Professor Cazell made it very clear to them that within St. Marian Academy, both teachers and students could only use magic cards they created themselves!
In other words.
If he wants to purify himself using the angelic spirit cards, he has no choice but to create them himself.
This is so difficult!
……
With a touch of worry, Dark went to the cafeteria for a simple yet substantial lunch, then returned to his bedroom to take a nap and recharge for his afternoon Potions class!
Because Diana had made a friend in Rose, she stopped bothering him, which saved him a lot of trouble.
But after only half an hour of sleep, he suddenly felt a jolt in his heart and woke up with a start.
A notification of "Laziness +1" quietly appeared.
"Gan!"
【暴怒+1】
"Can't I even take a nap?"
Dak glanced at the wall clock again and couldn't help but smile wryly: "Looks like I'll have to set an alarm for my afternoon nap from now on, no more than half an hour! Sleeping can't be later than six in the morning, and afternoon naps can't be more than half an hour... What kind of model youth is this?"
Dak called the system and glanced at the major crime indicator.
Arrogance: 93
Jealousy: 42
[Rage: 95]
Laziness: 72
Greed: 74
[Bingeing: 54]
【Paradise: 75】
Generally, it shows an upward trend.
Especially the "Rage" indicator!
Although the "Wrath" indicator is the most volatile of the seven deadly sins, it will decrease somewhat once the anger subsides.
But it's still two points more than at the beginning.
This is not a good sign.
Dark simply got up, packed his Potions textbook into his bag, and prepared to read for a while in the common room.
He originally wanted to go to the library to look up information about Impmon in order to complete his Summoning class assignment.
But considering that there was only a little over an hour left before afternoon class, I decided to wait until after Potions class to go to the library.
Who knows, maybe the Potions professor also needs to look up information in the library for the homework assignments?
"Wait, what if I spend a long time searching for information but don't find it, and I really want to finish the assignment so I keep searching... won't my 'greed' stat explode?"
"No way……"
With a hint of apprehension, Dak began his third lesson of the day.
Because he had previewed the material in a measured way, his performance in the third lesson remained good.
Professor Thompson, who taught Potions, wasn't Snape's type either. He not only praised Snape but also gave him extra credits.
Making magic cards requires magic potions, so you can't be careless!
However, Professor Thompson did not mention any potions that interested him, thus not triggering the "greed" indicator.
This is after three classes that day.
The way professors and students looked at him changed.
……
Dak tried to minimize his interactions with his classmates and went to the library as soon as get out of class was over.
The library is managed by a somewhat overweight Ms. Bella. However, the day-to-day librarian is an upperclasswoman.
This
The senior female student with long, straight black hair was so attractive to Dark that he didn't dare to look at her for long. After registering his name, he slunk into the library.
"What adorable freshmen."
Pandora looked at the delicate-featured, "shy" little boy and couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle softly.
……
Little did they know that Dark was hiding behind the bookshelf, clutching his heart and gasping for breath.
The "+1 to Bliss" notification led him to define this library as a den of demons!
……
After him, Emma Metis also entered the library.
Chapter 10 Darkdemon scoffs at the idea of traps.
Do you have a floor plan of the library?
Dark took out the Sorting Card and infused it with magic.
The Sorting Card sensed his thoughts and displayed a floor plan of the library on its surface.
The library at St. Marian College has only one floor, but every bookshelf is incredibly tall.
The college uses physical isolation to place the more profound books on the upper shelves.
Without the ability to fly, one would never be able to access those profound books.
But Dark's familiar has wings—that's an advantage!
They are supposed to be familiars that replaced the "owl." But most students' familiars don't have wings and can't fly, which is really awkward.
Dark found the area marked "Familiar" on the library's floor plan and immediately went there.
The difference between familiars and ordinary magical spirits is that they can exist outside of magic cards for a long time without consuming their master's magic power.
Magical spirits are different; no matter how powerful a magical spirit is, its existence is limited to a certain time.
Once this time limit is exceeded, they will begin to consume their own magic power, and will disappear when their magic power reaches zero.
Furthermore, the intelligence level of the magical spirit is 2, which is half a level lower than that of a familiar, belonging to the level of an inferior golem.
Because the library was so large, even with a floor plan, it still took Dark nearly ten minutes to find the bookshelf labeled "Familiar".
This entire bookshelf is filled with information related to familiars!
"Do we have to start looking for it ourselves from here?"
Dak couldn't help but look up.
The bookshelves were so tall that the top was nowhere in sight.
He even wanted to describe the bookshelf as "towering into the clouds"!
This single bookshelf alone contains countless books!
"How can I find this? Do I have to go back and ask the administrator again?"
"Does doing homework really have to risk increasing your performance score by 1?"
Dark said he would absolutely not suffer this loss!
