Chapter 448 Pirate Legacy
Kathy's answer surprised Aaron.
Although he knew very well that Cathy was no longer the little boy she had been when she first came to the library.
But in Aaron's eyes, Cathy's personality was not radical.
Admittedly, there is some truth to what Casey said.
But in Aaron's eyes, Cathy was more anxious than anything else.
After a moment's thought, Aaron understood Cathy's idea.
He seemed unwilling to wait any longer and wanted to take immediate action to move the situation forward.
Aaron took a deep breath and replied:
"Cassie, you must never be in a hurry, no matter what."
Kathy replied, "Right now, I'm not in a hurry. I think what I said earlier was correct."
"That's true, but how are you going to get ahead of them?" Aaron retorted. "The Zorc family will undoubtedly continue to send troops, and if you encounter them, how do you plan to deal with them?"
Kathy's lips moved, but she didn't utter a single word.
He glanced at Harriet, then at Aaron, and finally lowered his head slightly.
Aaron said earnestly, "Harriet can protect you as much as she can, but her fighting strength is limited, and I cannot accompany you on your expedition. Even Dick was severely injured by the Zorc family. Casey, your proposal is extremely dangerous."
Harriet also advised, "Cassie, you should know that I will always support you, but I would rather you be safe than risk your life with you. You are going to fight the enemy, but do you know where the enemy is headed? And how are you going to get there?"
"Featherfall Island, that's a legendary place. Master Jode mentioned it to me when I was a child," Casey said. "But nobody knows exactly where Featherfall Island is. But—"
Kathy suddenly looked up at Aaron: "Mr. Mosley, why is the Zorc family pursuing a non-existent location?"
"It's not entirely unfounded," Aaron replied truthfully. "Based on the information I have, Fallen Feather Island might really exist."
Aaron also believed that there must be some special intelligence on the plateau that the Zorc family had obtained, which made them travel thousands of miles down from the plateau and go out to sea to find Fallen Feather Island.
Aaron wasn't surprised that such intelligence existed on the plateau.
After all, the exotic iron ore from the plateau is an essential material for making perfume bottles.
Kathy pressed further, "Sir, do you perhaps know the location of Featherfall Island?"
Aaron considered for two seconds, and finally nodded.
Kathy's face immediately lit up with joy: "Now I have a clear direction!"
"But you still have no solutions to the other problems," Aaron said. "You have no money or soldiers, and you have no advantage in the battle. Moreover, Feather Island is at sea, and you have no sailors willing to follow you or ships that you can command."
Upon hearing this, Cathy fell silent again, but soon, she stood up excitedly:
"No! Mr. Mosley, perhaps I have a way to solve this!"
Aaron couldn't help but be curious about Cathy's reaction:
"What method?"
"I am indeed the lord of the plateau, but half of my blood flows within me," Casey replied. "Sir, I am the son of a great navigator of that time, and I believe I can absolutely conquer my own ocean currents!"
“But you don’t even have a boat,” Aaron said.
"Henry may be dead, but his ship still exists," Casey said. "In principle, it belongs to me!"
Aaron shook his head: "In the world of pirates, bloodlines may be worthless."
“But Henry is no ordinary pirate,” Casey said. “His men are extremely loyal to him, and Benson told me he’s willing to serve me. Sir, once I find those pirates, I can get their support and have them escort me to Featherfall Island.”
By then, Casey will have the ship, the sailors, and even the fighting force.
Aaron grinned, completely forgetting that Cassie was that blockhead's son.
If that's the case, Aaron thinks Kathy really has a chance to get ahead of him.
There are two reasons.
The plateau is far from the ocean, and is even an isolated island in the middle of the continent.
It is said that there are rivers on the Lines Plateau, but the plateau is definitely lacking in experienced sailors.
In terms of seafaring skills, they were no match for the pirates who made a living at sea.
And even if the people of the Highlands knew of the existence of Fallen Feather Island.
However, they may not know the exact location of Fallen Feather Island.
However, Aaron possessed the specific location provided by Anne.
If Aaron gives Cathy a map, Cathy will avoid searching aimlessly.
For Aaron, the Emerald Record on Featherfall Island was more valuable than something that others would find and use.
It would be better to let Casey get it.
Aaron squinted and said to Cathy:
"The plan is feasible, but Casey, you need to understand that it is still very dangerous."
"Men are not afraid of death," Cathy said, puffing out her slender chest.
Aaron couldn't help but smile; it seemed that Pegasus had really guided Cathy well.
"Alright, Casey, I approve of your plan, and I can provide you with the location of Featherfall Island."
"That's wonderful, Mr. Mosley," Casey said excitedly. "Thank you so much."
Dick, standing to the side, widened his eyes: "Sir, you know the location of Featherfall Island?"
Aaron nodded.
"But this is a location even the Crimson Prince couldn't find! How do you know it?" Dick asked, his face full of surprise. "Sir, who are you? This kind of information shouldn't be something an unknown librarian could possess!"
"Fame is not the same as strength," Aaron smiled slightly.
Dick opened his mouth slightly, but remained silent for a long time.
Aaron turned to look at Casey: "But Casey, where are you going to find Henry's men?"
“To the Clown Islands,” Casey said. “Henry told me about it on the Two Gold Coins. It’s Henry’s territory. They must have gone back there.”
Aaron nodded, then asked:
"But how will you get to the Clown Islands?"
These words stumped Cathy.
He was silent for a moment, then answered:
"Perhaps I can rent a boat, or ask someone on a ship that is crossing the Sea of Despair to give me a ride."
“Renting a boat is a huge expense,” Aaron said. “And crossing the Sea of Despair is extremely dangerous; not many boats have plans to go to that area.”
Upon hearing this, Kathy lowered her head again.
His hand clenched into a fist, as if he were making a decision.
Judging from her expression, Aaron could guess what Cathy was thinking.
Kathy is probably considering whether or not she should borrow money from Aaron.
He probably knew that he owed Aaron a lot of favors.
Just then, Dick said:
"In the West, there may be many ships that intend to cross the Sea of Despair."
Everyone turned to look at Dick.
Dick said, "The Brunswick Peninsula, or the Shoepad Peninsula, is usually the port of departure for ships heading to that area. You might find something there. Oh, I fought there and got some intelligence."
However, Kathy frowned and asked:
Why are you helping me?
