Chapter 18 Time Flies
Chapter 18 Time Flies
After an exciting holiday, it's back to the ordinary days of classes.
After the Night upgrade, a training room was opened. Now, apart from class time, I spend two hours there to train my body and practice second-year basic spells.
I made use of my sleep time at night to train my mental strength, because strong mental strength means strong self-control.
As someone with terminal laziness, I feel I've really tried my best, but it's far from enough. I need to have some self-protection skills before Harry and his generation of young wizards go to school, and I always feel insecure.
During this time, at my request, Severus also gave me private lessons, and I could only absorb knowledge like a sponge.
Professors from all departments suddenly realized that I seemed to have become a curious child, asking them all sorts of strange questions.
The professor, of course, liked such a good student, and in addition to answering the questions, he also provided a long list of books to read.
Because I had a good grasp of the first-year material, I was exempted from writing assignments after class. I was probably the only person whose professors exempted me from homework in every subject.
This, of course, means that I may have to complete Jin's task a little late.
I've completed quite a few night missions, and I've leveled up a lot since then.

Training room is now open.
I can't go on like this for now. I need to relax. I'm afraid I'll break down if I keep doing this every day. My nerves are constantly on edge.
"Ayers, haven't you been too hard on yourself lately?" Severus sensed something was wrong with me.
"Really?" She forced a smile at Severus, picked up the coffee on the table, and took a small sip.
"The Malfoy family sent me an invitation for Halloween. Would you like to come and have some fun?" Severus was particularly concerned about me, his prized student, and for some reason, he felt especially uncomfortable seeing me like this.
As my guardian, he didn't want me to continue like this. Coincidentally, my good friend Lucius Malfoy also sent me an invitation to a Halloween party this year.
If it were the old him, he would definitely have turned it down, but this year, seeing Ayers like this...
He's really too hard on himself. If you look closely, you can see his dark circles. He often stays up all night making potions, but he's never looked like this. Maybe even potions can't fix it.
"Even Severus thinks I need a break, which proves I look terrible right now." I still had the nerve to joke with Severus; it seems I really do look awful and need a rest. "Will you come with me?"
“I think you should become more independent. I don’t think I need to go with you.” Severus really didn’t like going to those banquets, so he wouldn’t go with him.
"Alright! I should relax a bit too~" Actually, I wanted to meet Draco Malfoy beforehand; he's also one of my targets.
Getting to know them two years in advance is fine too; consider it a break for yourself and enjoy looking at handsome men. The entire Malfoy family is full of good-looking men and women!
"Just use my FlooNet to send it over on Halloween. I'll reply to Lucius Malfoy. Oh, and you'll have to figure out the dress yourself." Severus wrote the reply and sent it over by the school owl.
He leisurely left after finishing a cup of coffee in Severus's cellar.
I went back to my dorm, showered, and went to sleep. I didn't go to the training room tonight; people need to rest too. Consider today a day off.
If you stretch yourself too much, you'll be ruined if you suddenly break down.
