After a long pause, Mi Xuer tremblingly took the wine from Julie's hand. Her eyes were fixed on the glass, as if she were looking at something terrifying.

Judy was like a little fox waiting for its prey. She raised her cup to Mi Xuer, took a small sip, and exuded an innate elegance and nobility that no one else could ever imitate.

As if she had made up her mind, Mi Xuer glanced at Zhu Xi and downed the drink in one gulp!

"Mi Xu'er is still as handsome as ever, let's all drink up." Zhu Xi looked up and finished her glass of red wine.

Everyone finished their drinks, and it was clear that Judy was very popular with everyone, while they all looked down on Mi Xuer. This puzzled Yan Zuozuo, who frowned slightly.

Setting down her wine glass, Judy said to everyone present, "Thank you all for the welcome dinner tonight. It's been a lot of work. Yan Zuozuo nodded slightly, and then she saw that everyone's eyes were on her. Some people invited her to drink, while others were talking amongst themselves.

"Huh, is she Yan Zuozuo? The one everyone in S City envies for marrying Chi Moqing?"

"I heard that a while ago, Chi Moqing ruined the Meng family because of her. Is that true?"

Ignoring the whispers around him, Yan Zuozuo smiled professionally and clinked glasses with Judy.

Judy leaned back on the table, lazily holding her wine glass. "So, how about it? I've been sincere enough in trying to be your friend, haven't I? These are all big clients. Whether you can handle them or not is up to you."

"Thanks, but my design style might not suit you modern people. Let's sort out our issues as soon as possible, I need to get back to you." Yan Zuozuo reached out her hand, asking for the check.

Judy pouted. "I told you you're incompetent. Why so many excuses?" She sprang to her feet and said, "Wait here, I'll go get it for you."

After Judy left, many people came over to chat with Yan Zuozuo. Yan Zuozuo was quite polite, greeting everyone and glancing at Mi Xuer not far away from time to time.

Before arriving, Mi Xuer was worried about how Judy would treat her, but she was surprised when Judy simply gave her a drink and then ignored her. However, she knew Judy's personality well and feared things weren't that simple.

The women immediately understood, exchanging glances before moving closer to Mi Xuer. Years ago, Judy had run away from her arranged marriage in the Bourbon family, hoping to find the legendary true love in China. Mi Xuer felt a chill on her head and her eyes stung. Her white dress was stained red, making her look quite disheveled.

"Sorry, my hand slipped." The woman didn't seem to care at all, and called the waiter over to bring a towel to wipe her hands. She asked insincerely, "Mi Xuer, are you alright?"

Mi Xuer was taken aback for a moment, then shook her head and said, "No..."

"Miss, are your hands on your head? How could you slip like that?" Before Mi Xuer could speak, Yan Zuozuo pulled her behind her. Her voice wasn't loud, but the surroundings instantly fell silent.

The woman raised an eyebrow and sneered, "I said it was a slip of the hand, so what? You're not happy about it?"

"I'm impressed. I'm impressed that you weren't just clumsy, you were probably blind." Mi Xuer had come with her, and no matter what, she had an obligation to protect her. This woman had clearly provoked her first.

"Sasha, this is my welcome banquet, and these two are my honored guests. You hit them; are you disrespecting me?"

Yan Zuozuo and Mi Xuer looked in the direction of the sound and saw Judy with a half-smile on her face, tightly gripping the woman's arm, but her eyes were cold and indifferent.

The woman frowned: "Jusie, are you stupid? This bitch betrayed you back then, and you still want to forgive her! Let me go, let me teach her a lesson for you!"

"This is my own business, I'll handle it myself. Sasha, mind your image." Jusie looked at her coldly, seemingly displeased.

Although the woman was unconvinced, she stopped when she saw Judy's angry expression. She turned and glared fiercely at Mi Xuer, "Don't think this is the end of it. If you dare to bully Judy again, you'll regret it!" With that, she turned and left.

Julie glanced at her and sighed helplessly. Then she smiled at Mi Xuer and Yan Zuozuo, "I'm sorry, Sasha is just impulsive. She frightened you both. I apologize on her behalf."

She handled the situation with such grace and poise that no one could detect any flaws. Yan Zuozuo looked at Judy thoughtfully, without saying a word. Mi Xuer, on the other hand, was very grateful to her and quickly shook her head, saying, "It's not Sasha's fault, it's my fault."

Judy smiled and said, "It's nothing, it's all in the past. I see your clothes are all wet, why don't you go upstairs and change into one of my clothes?" After saying that, she nodded to Yan Zuozuo, "I'm afraid I'll have to keep you waiting a little longer."

"It's alright, let Mi Xuer go change her clothes first." Yan Zuozuo raised an eyebrow as she watched Mi Xuer being led upstairs. Was this Juliet just pretending, or was she really getting along peacefully with Mi Xuer?

She lowered her eyes, took a small sip of red wine, and feared that things were not so simple.

In the room, Mi Xuer had just taken a shower, took the new clothes Julie had given her, and smiled timidly, "Thank you, Julie."

Judy shrugged. "We're all friends, no need to be so polite. How have you been, long time no see?"

Mi Xuer lowered her eyes slightly, a hint of sadness flashing in them. But she quickly regained her composure and smiled faintly, "It's fine."

Julie nodded, holding her wine glass, and leaned against the window, saying nothing more. Mi Xu'er glanced at her, her face full of guilt. She quietly changed her clothes, walked to Julie's side, and said softly, "Can we talk, Julie?"

"What do you want to talk about? Of course!" Julie turned around and gave her a hearty smile. "However, I'm afraid it won't work tonight. There are still many people waiting downstairs. We can talk privately another day."

Mi Xu'er hesitated for a moment, then nodded. She followed Judy downstairs, but after only a few steps, she suddenly heard a commotion in the lobby, as if someone had arrived, making it unusually lively.

Julie smiled knowingly and gave Mi Xuer a meaningful look. "You two are really destined to meet. He's here."
