Chapter 179: The Enemy Of My Enemy Is...!?

Chapter 179: The Enemy Of My Enemy Is...!?

Bella had Israel in a compromising position, she wasn’t relenting as she knew that there had to be a reason he dared to try and set him up.

"You will tell me everything you know, if you scream I will rip out your tongue before you’re rescued. Nod if you understand," Bella threatened and Israel nodded frantically.

He didn’t want any trouble with Bella because she meant business, she had no problems harming him.

Bella removed her hand from his mouth and Israel looked terrified but the fear in his eyes wasn’t directed at Bella.

"I-I have nothing to do with any of this!" Israel blurted out but Bella didn’t understand what he meant by this. If he had nothing to do with this then who was responsible for it?

"Spill it and stop speaking in parables..." Bella commanded him, she was speaking to him in a calm voice because he was scared. She knew that if she was aggressive then the chances that he would cooperate could diminish.

"What do you mean you have nothing to do with any of this?" Bella asked.

"I was instructed to, I had no other choice!" Israel blurted out and Bella now was worried because this looked to be a bigger problem than she had anticipated.

If he was instructed then that meant she played right into whoever gave him the instruction.

"Fuck..." Bella muttered under her breath like she knew what was about to happen.

"Freeze!" A man shouted and before she knew it, the area was swarmed with Dimitris’ men.

Bella stood with her hands raised, she knew resisting would be futile.

"Get on your knees!" Another instruction was given to which Bella complied, she was tackled to the floor after that as they bound her hands.

However, the drugs in her possession slipped out of her pocket.

The guard immediately grabbed it and inspected what it was. Israel looked surprised that they were here but he intended to play the victim.

"This bitch is crazy! She just attacked us out of the blue!" Israel barked but he soon froze in place upon seeing who was in attendance, Dimitris had come down here himself.

"Boss, it is just as reported!" The guard barked and Dimitris gestured for him to hand him the drugs.

"Reported?" Bella thought to herself, she knew that this wasn’t a good look and she had quite literally been caught red-handed.

There was no escaping this but there was one thing that she could and that was to omit Rachel’s involvement.

"Why do you have this?" Dimitris asked, slowly walking up to her.

Bella knew if she lied, this would ruin any other words that came out of her mouth.

"I got it for the man before me, he wanted to trade for information he had," Bella was upfront about it.

Israel composed himself before Dimitris because he knew the consequence of unruly behaviour, he wouldn’t tolerate it.

"Information?" Dimitris repeated to which Bella nodded, she didn’t know who Dimitris was, all she knew was that he was their leader.

However, Israel knew who this man was and what he was capable of hence the look on his face.

"Is that true, Israel?" Dimitris asked, the fact that he knew Israel’s name told Israel that he had his eyes on him.

Dimitris had no business knowing his name otherwise and Israel low-key felt honored by this.

Israel bit his tongue and Dimitris wasn’t a man that liked repeating himself.

"Take him..." Dimitris instructed his men and they did so without hesitation.

"Why didn’t you come to me?" Dimitris asked Bella but Bella wasn’t sure she could trust him, even now.

"It must have skipped my mind," Bella said but Dimitris had no plans on pressing further.

He would have all the information he needed soon enough.

"Take her too," Dimitris instructed his men and Bella was hurled away.

Dimitris understood where she was coming from but for some reason, he knew that whoever was pulling the strings must have anticipated something like this happening.

Bella was taken away and Dimitris was left with his men.

"The tip, it was anonymous, correct?" Dimitris asked which one of his men to affirm that this was the case.

"Someone is fucking with us," Dimitris blurted, visibly vexed.

Franklin was in danger and there was nothing that Brayden could do.

The zombie had grabbed him and was ready to devour him but Franklin wasn’t fighting this.

He accepted his face and even had a smile on his face, he was ready to join Debra.

But fate had other stuff in store for him, this wasn’t the day that Franklin would die.

The sound of a revolving engine alerted Brayden that a car was headed in their direction.

He jumped out of the car and noticed that the driver was Andre.

"You sure know how to steal the show!" Brayden shouted and the car crashed right into the zombie, sending it tumbling away and forcing it to release Franklin.

"Get in! We’re getting the fuck out of here!" Andre said; he noticed the fresh headless corpse and realized that this was the zombie responsible for the chaos they had just seen.

Brayden rushed into the car but Franklin didn’t need to be told to enter the car.

Franklin was uncertain about everything, he didn’t know if he wanted to live or die.

The zombie took some time to recollect itself, it seemed to have broken something that robbed it of the ability to function as it did moments ago.

Andre tried starting the car but to no avail, its collision must have affected the engine in some way.

"Fuck!" Andre barked, he couldn’t believe that the car decided to break down right now.

"Andre! What the fuck is going on?" Brayden barked.

The zombie began the weird movements once again, they could hear strange sounds coming from his body like it was shifting something beneath its flesh.

It was the same with the bullets, Brayden knew whatever was going on couldn’t be good.

They needed to leave and now, the zombie did something that they couldn’t have predicted once again.

It struggled to get to Debra’s body, grabbing and everyone was curious to see what it wanted to do with it even though Franklin’s mind was no longer present here.

He was in a blanked out state but this was just the beginning of it all.

The zombie opened its mouth like a snake, dislocating its jaw so it could open its mouth as wide as possible.

It swallowed Debra whole and Andre readied to gun it but Brayden had to stop him.

They couldn’t give the zombie any more ammunition.

Andre didn’t understand why he didn’t want him to shoot but he trusted Brayden enough to know it must be for good reason.

The zombie’s body continued the weird movement but then it stopped, however, what was once broken was now healed.

"Jesus fucking Christ!" Andre blurted out, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

This was an abomination and it suddenly charged towards them with speed.

Andre continued trying to start the car but it wasn’t working.

"Brace yourselves!" Andre shouted but before the zombie reached the car, a blow landed right on its jaw that sent it reeling away.

Andre had to readjust his eyes to see what was responsible for it.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS A FUCKING GORILLA DOING HERE!?" Brayden exclaimed.

"GO!" Jason’s voice echoed.

"He’s alive?" Brayden was astonished by the fight he had in him but there was something different about him.

The car finally started and Andre didn’t need to be told twice what to do.

"DON’T SHOOT IT!" Brayden gave him a final warning as they zoomed away into the distance.

"It is just as I thought," Jason muttered, the zombies only cared about the fragment and their host.

It doesn’t matter if they were dead or alive, as long as they had the fragment, they became a target. This meant that Jason could use them to fight one another, part of him thought this wouldn’t work and he was bringing two enemies together to arrange his funeral.

Jason’s legs soon became wobbly, the reason he was able to get here so fast was because he had used Nexus.

He was reaching his limit and quickly deactivated the skill before it could suck out the last ounce of his strength. Jason didn’t know what was ahead but he didn’t want to

Jason arrived in time, he was glad that he did or there was no telling what would have happened to the others.

However, he was now in a free-for-all battle with these zombies, Jason hoped that the zombies would focus on each other, giving him an opening to escape.

But he couldn’t let them evolve further, there was no telling what could happen if they got their hands on another fragment.

Jason didn’t have the energy to take them both on but he had to make a gamble.

"Well then, shall the threeway begin?" Jason thought to himself, hoping that the two of them would weaken themselves enough for him to deliver the finishing blow.
