Otherworldly Companions: Every Handsome Man is Extraordinary

Chapter 236 Gray Mo

Chapter 236 Gray Mo

"Leader, leader, we've finally found you!" The young man rushed out of the crowd in a flurry of activity.

The boy named Hui Mo had medium-length gray-black hair that fluttered in the wind, with several small braids inside, making him look both childish and unruly.

He was tall and slender with broad shoulders, the best-looking physique among young men. Perhaps because he was too young, he didn't have much fear of Keslan.

Keslan sat in a chair, lazily watching him run over, and introduced him to Lin Yi, who was quite interested, "This is the child I introduced to you before, Hui Mo."

Hui Mo had already rushed up to them and, upon hearing this, retorted indignantly, "What? Chief, I'm all grown up now, how can you still call me a child!"

"Enough talk, how's the mission going?" Keslan asked with a smile, like a parent checking their child's homework. "Did you get your commission?"

"Oh, don't you trust me to handle things?" Hui Mo said smugly. "I only came back after all the tasks were completed and the commissions were in my hands. How about that? Wasn't the process fast?"

"Sit down." Keslan then casually pointed, gesturing for Gray to sit down.

"This is General Lin Yi, the husband of Lord Jiang Yu," Keslan introduced, and Hui Mo greeted him politely.

"I told Lord Jiang Yu about my idea to help you buy the house from the Wilman family, but Lord Jiang Yu still has concerns. You can tell him yourself when you see him later." Keslan didn't want to get involved anymore. If he interfered too much, that ungrateful woman Jiang Yu would misunderstand him even more.

Hui Mo looked distressed: "Where would I get that much money? Even if the leader doesn't speak on my behalf, he still has to pay up. That's what we agreed on."

Keslan coldly put down the cup, feeling that this brat was far too ungrateful.

"Chief, you're the one who said you'd step in and pay for it for me. You only stay here occasionally. Don't worry, I can cover the maintenance of this house. I'm still young and I've been taking on missions all the time. You know how high my commission is!"

Hui Mo rattled off everything in one breath, ignoring Lin Yi's amused gaze.

Keslan gripped the cup tightly, furious enough to want to kill someone. This idiot was all bark and no bite; it would have been pointless for Wilman to save him, he should have taken him with him to meet the gods.

"Wow, Chief, Chief, look! There's a fairy sister over there!" Hui Mo sensed the murderous aura emanating from his boss and belatedly tried to change the subject. He looked up and saw his savior approaching gracefully in the distance, so he quickly and exaggeratedly shouted loudly.

Under Keslan's even more obvious "you're doomed" gaze, he shrank back and whispered in a barely audible voice, "Fine, fine, I'll shut up. I know that's the lord."

As Jiang Yu approached, she saw the young boy huddled next to Keslan, his eyes darting around as he looked at her pleadingly. She also saw Lin Yi's amused expression and knew that nothing serious had happened.

“Grey Mo, is that right? Chief Keslan mentioned you to me.” Jiang Yu smiled as he looked at the boy. He was clearly not an adult yet, still a kid, but he was already earning commissions by riding sea beasts. That’s really impressive.

"Lord Jiang Yu, greetings!" Hui Mo hurriedly stood up, unsure of what to do with his hands and feet, his face flushed red. He came from a humble background and was an orphan. Even when he accepted missions, he did so in a way that was beneath him to be seen. He had never spoken face-to-face with such a nobleman before, especially a lord as beautiful as a fairy.

Besides, everyone's spreading the word that this Lord Jiangyu is the boss's sweetheart. Then...she's going to be the future boss's wife!

His eyes lit up at the thought. If he could really build a house on the territory ruled by the future lady, he could show off in the regiment for a long time.

"My lady, you are as beautiful as a fairy in a painting. Hollandeshire is so rich, it's the most beautiful place I've ever been!" Once the young boy understood his purpose, he immediately overcame his shyness and began to flatter her, his face flushed.

Jiang Yu was taken aback, then her eyes crinkled with a hint of delight. This was the first time she had ever heard someone call her "sister" here.

Keslan frowned: "Who are you calling 'sister'?! Who gave you the audacity to address the lord like that?"

"It's alright." Jiang Yu waved her hand, in a good mood. "Judging by our age, there's nothing wrong with him calling me 'sister'."

"Hui Mo, did you just arrive? Have you visited the market? Did you buy any items you liked or any delicious food?" Jiang Yu asked.

"Ah! Okay, I rushed over as soon as I arrived in the county. I haven't had a chance to explore yet, but my lord, this gathering you've organized is truly magnificent! It looks like there are many wonderful things hidden here! I must bring some goodies back for the brothers in my troupe!"

Hui Mo laughed heartily, making no attempt to hide anything: "I just received my commission, I'm loaded!"

Keslan felt embarrassed and simply turned his head away.

Jiang Yu's opinion of Keslan changed as a result. Hui Mo, as one of the youngest members of his organization and from a poor background, was now able to be so sunny and frank, which showed that there was a human touch within the Owl organization.

At least it's not as dark and bloody as I imagined.

“Sigh, the commission would be even higher for murder cases, but unfortunately I don’t get many murder cases,” Hui Mo added.

"But when I grow up and become more skilled, I believe I'll be able to take on more big jobs involving murder and robbery! Then I'll be even richer!" the boy exclaimed, expressing his aspirations.

Jiang Yu was numb; in the end, she had given her heart to the wrong person.

Keslan not only turned his head to one side, but also lowered it, as if he had lost all face in this moment.

Very good, Hui Mo is truly commendable. How exactly does Hui Yu train his subordinates?

Seemingly sensing that the atmosphere around them had suddenly become a bit awkward, Hui Mo belatedly waved his hands and hurriedly explained, "Ah, Lord Sister, uh, don't be afraid. We didn't kill any good people, really, I swear."

He raised a gesture of swearing, "None of us are good people, the ones who will kill us must be worse than us, right?"

What a logical genius!

"Damn it, just shut up." Keslan snapped, unable to contain himself any longer.

"No way! I haven't finished what's important yet!" She was completely unmoved by reason. "Sister, Lord, Uncle Wilman really did me a favor before he died. I heard that his family members have either died or scattered, and such a large family has fallen into ruin."

"My lord sister, I've been an orphan since I was a child. If it weren't for my strength and good luck, and the fact that my deep-sea bloodline awakened and I was recruited into Owl's sea beast group, I would have been dead somewhere long ago."

“I owe Uncle Wilman my life, and I don’t have anything to repay him with, so I just want to help him look after his house. I don’t have a home either, so if you can sell the Wilman house to me, I’ll treat this place as my own home. I can come back and tidy up when I’m not on a mission.”

"The main thing is that it's rare for the leader to offer to pay for me. You don't know how hard it is to get money out of the leader. This is a rare opportunity, sister."

"The chief said you have concerns. Could you tell me what your concerns are?"
