Chapter 2426 - 2405: Return to Qiuyi Workshop
Chapter 2426 - 2405: Return to Qiuyi Workshop
All the way here, Guoguo was over the moon, and Tao Tao kept circling around her. The sight of one tall and one small beauty both so happy made everyone on the street turn their heads, but no one dared step forward to make a move. No one here was stupid—beauties of this level were absolutely unmatched in Xucheng; how could they possibly not have the ability to protect themselves? Not to mention, if any member of another Prominent Family set their eyes on them, no one else would even be able to resist!
Lin Feng, however, didn’t care in the slightest. The Zhang Family was already gone; if anyone else was dumb enough to provoke him, he wouldn’t mind making their family vanish just like the Zhang Family.
But as they walked, Lin Feng noticed that Guoguo’s clothes were already a bit ill-fitting. He suddenly remembered that clothing shop he had helped out before, and wondered how that shop was doing now. A smile tugged at his lips as he led Guoguo and Tao Tao toward that particular clothing store.
He had expected the shop to be doing very well, but he still hadn’t imagined it would be this insanely popular!
Up ahead, Qiuyi Workshop was no longer the Qiuyi Workshop of the past; it had actually swallowed up the shops on both sides, its business area expanded several times over. Yet even so, Qiuyi Workshop was still packed to the brim, women constantly rushing in, and women constantly walking out with beautiful clothes in hand, all with satisfied smiles on their faces.
"Brother Lin, why is this Qiuyi Workshop so crazy popular?" Guoguo stared in astonishment at the bustling Qiuyi Workshop in front of her. She’d never heard there was such a hot clothing store in Xucheng before!
Tao Tao chuckled, tapped Guoguo’s little nose, scooped her up in her arms, and said to her, "You’ll know in a bit."
With that, the two of them walked into Qiuyi Workshop as well. Once they stepped inside, they were immediately met with a scene that was on a whole different level.
"Give me ten pieces of the new styles!"
"I’ll take thirty pieces!"
...
The shop operated in two sections: one was straightforward retail, while the other side was entirely for wholesalers. This actually surprised Lin Feng and Tao Tao a little; they hadn’t thought anyone would come for wholesale. Since it was all within the same city, if you wanted to buy, you could just come directly—why bother wholesaling?
All of a sudden, Lin Feng spotted Qing’er busy inside and greeted her with a smile.
"Miss Qing’er, it’s me, Lin Feng!"
Lin Feng smiled as he spoke. Given the situation now, it was clearly impossible to buy clothes for Guoguo out front, so he could only ask Qing’er to help.
Qing’er, who was bustling around inside, heard Lin Feng’s voice and instantly turned her gaze toward him, her eyes filled with disbelief. The last time Lin Feng had come, he hadn’t looked like this at all. What was going on?
Seeing Qing’er dazed there, Lin Feng suddenly realized what was wrong. Last time, he and Tao Tao had disguised themselves as being in their thirties; now they looked completely different from before. He smiled and nodded to Qing’er, sending her a sound transmission: "We were in disguise last time. This is what Tao Tao and I really look like now!"
As soon as Qing’er heard that, she understood at once. She rushed out from behind the counter and came to stand by Lin Feng and Tao Tao, bowing in excitement as she greeted them, "Young Master Lin, Miss Tao Tao, it’s really you! My lady has been waiting for you to come. Please follow me to the back."
After speaking, she led Lin Feng and Tao Tao toward the back of the shop. The other women in the store all looked on curiously for a moment, but were quickly drawn back in by the clothes in the shop.
The three of them stepped into the rear, and under Qing’er’s guidance, walked to the outside of a very elegant little house in the back courtyard.
"My lady, Young Master Lin and Miss Tao Tao are here!" Qing’er called from outside.
Hearing that, Ji Ran immediately opened the door. When she saw Lin Feng and Tao Tao standing there, she was stunned on the spot, a little dazed. These two weren’t the Lin Feng and Tao Tao she remembered—what on earth was going on?
"My lady, what you saw before was Young Master Lin and Miss Tao Tao in disguise. This is what they really look like now," Qing’er quickly explained, immediately understanding Ji Ran’s confusion.
Only then did Ji Ran realize what was going on. Surprise lit up her face as she hurriedly said, "Please, come in, please come in!"
Lin Feng and Tao Tao didn’t stand on ceremony and went in with Guoguo, while Qing’er left to go back to the front to help with business.
"Young Master Lin, Miss Tao Tao, I’ve been waiting for you for so long!" Ji Ran said with a broad, genuine smile as she looked at the two of them.
"I had some things to deal with before and never had time. This time, I came because I want to have some clothes made for Guoguo," Lin Feng replied calmly as he looked at Ji Ran.
"That’s no problem. It’s just that all my clothes here are for adults; we don’t have any children’s styles... But I can have my people make some especially for her. It’s just that when it comes to the designs..." Hearing Lin Feng’s request, Ji Ran sounded a little embarrassed. Qiuyi Workshop only sold adult clothing, no children’s. That wasn’t an issue though—the real problem was what kind of style Lin Feng wanted. She didn’t have the faintest idea in this area.
"That’s no problem." Lin Feng smiled faintly. He glanced at the desk and saw paper and a brush there. With a wave of his hand, he picked up the paper and pen on the table, and in just the span of a few breaths, a design sketch appeared. Then the second, third... He didn’t stop until he had drawn seven sketches, then finally put down the paper and pen.
He handed the seven design drawings to Ji Ran, and her eyes immediately lit up. Her eye for clothing was razor sharp; she instantly saw the subtleties within. Lin Feng’s designs were simply peerless. She could already imagine the commotion that would erupt once Guoguo walked out in these children’s outfits!
Filled with excitement, Ji Ran slapped a piece of jade on the table. Before long, Qing’er came in again from outside.
"My lady, you called for me?" Qing’er asked curiously as she looked at Ji Ran.
"Take these drawings and have the workers stop what they’re doing right now. Tell them to make the clothes from these seven designs first!" Ji Ran immediately ordered Qing’er.
"Yes, my lady." Qing’er took the design sketches without looking closely at them and agreed simply before turning to leave. She didn’t even need to look to know they must have come from Lin Feng’s hand. Besides, Ji Ran was the boss; her arrangements were to be followed.
Just as Qing’er was about to leave, Lin Feng’s voice suddenly rang out.
"Tao Tao, you take Guoguo with you too. That way, if the measurements aren’t right, they can adjust them on the spot." Lin Feng said to Tao Tao, signaling her to go with Guoguo.
Tao Tao hadn’t expected Lin Feng to make such an arrangement and was stunned for a moment, not sure what he meant. But she knew that if Lin Feng did something, he must have his reasons. She gave Ji Ran a meaningful glance, then turned and left with Guoguo and Qing’er.
Ji Ran had never imagined things would play out this way. Now it was just her and Lin Feng in the room, and she suddenly felt her heart tense up, flustered and nervous.
"I didn’t expect your shop to be this popular now," Lin Feng said casually, not even looking at Ji Ran, his gaze instead falling on the things scattered across her desk.
"It’s all thanks to your designs, Young Master Lin. You don’t know—now it’s not just Xucheng. Merchants from many other cities are all coming to Qiuyi Workshop to buy stock..." Ji Ran finally snapped out of it at Lin Feng’s words and quickly explained.
Hearing this, Lin Feng gave a faint smile. He hadn’t expected things to turn out like this. It had just been a casual favor from him, but he hadn’t thought the seeds he’d scattered would grow into such a big tree. Still, he was curious about how Ji Ran was running things, so he opened his mouth to ask, "These clothing designs of yours—once people see them, they can copy them, right? In that case, how do you keep the shop’s sales up?"
His question was very pointed. Thinking back to all the fake products back on Earth in the lower realm always gave him a headache, so he was curious how the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm dealt with the problem of counterfeits.
At his words, Ji Ran smiled, revealing a row of white teeth. "They can indeed be copied. But you may not know this, Young Master: all the clothes from Qiuyi Workshop come with a special tag that others simply cannot counterfeit. Without certain special methods, even if they imitate the clothes, the cost of making those imitations would exceed the cost of the clothing itself. So this problem is easy to solve. But if someone has the skill and doesn’t care about our trademark tags, then there’s nothing we can do."
"So that’s how it is!" After listening, Lin Feng finally understood how the Myriad Heavens Divine Realm dealt with fakes. It was similar to the anti-counterfeiting labels on Earth, except that here they used a method more suited to this world.
Right after, he became interested in how much the clothes were selling for now, so he asked Ji Ran, "How many Yuan Stones does one of these outfits go for now?"
"Young Master, since these clothes are all different from the old styles, we set the prices very high at Qiuyi Workshop—dozens of Yuan Stones per piece, and the more expensive ones can even reach over a hundred Yuan Stones each!" Ji Ran replied with a smile.
"That high?" Lin Feng was taken aback for a moment. But he quickly came around and nodded with a smile. This woman from Qiuyi Workshop was really shrewd; she had actually positioned the brand along a high-end luxury route. That was a very accurate positioning. After all, only Qiuyi Workshop had these clothes—just like those luxury brands on Earth, it let her maximize profits!
"And even at those prices, our clothes at Qiuyi Workshop still can’t keep up with demand." Seeing Lin Feng a little surprised, Ji Ran raised a hand to her lips and chuckled, then continued, "Young Master Lin, the designs you drew last time have all been turned into finished products, and the market response has been excellent. I don’t know if you might be willing to..."
She didn’t finish the sentence, but her meaning couldn’t have been clearer. She wanted Lin Feng to design more, so Qiuyi Workshop could keep riding this wave of rapid growth...
