Chapter 756 Do you know who you are talking to?
"Completely unfair." Kael was grinning as he lost once again to yet another blood avatar. It was as if all of a sudden the blood avatar had become a lot more stronger. It was now almost twice as fast as him. "Impossible! How is this guy so strong? I can't even fight his clone? This is complete bullshit but I love it. Our competition is still going on, bud. Don't think I am bowing out just yet." He laughed and bounded at top speed to another location.
This time, Kael was faster and he managed to grab the treasure which was a small pearl. Damon's blood avatar was a moment too slow to arrive at the spot. "Ha Ha. I got you bud!" The beastkin was about to blast away when suddenly he stopped in spot.
All signs of playfulness disappeared from his face and his eyes widened in shock. He turned and stared in a specific direction completely dumbfounded. He stood in a trance as a single image flashed in his mind.
The image of a small blade of grass.
The next moment he shot forward with an absurd speed. Golden light flashed around him as a powerful aura emerged. He shook his head and let out a rumbling roar, speeding forward like his life depended on it.
It was not just him. All around the world many people reacted the same way. They instantly dropped what they were doing and turned toward the same direction as if pulled by an invisible force.
The chaotic competition that had filled the world for the past few days came to an abrupt halt. Elves stopped mid-battle. Beastkin abandoned treasures they had just found. Change swept across the entire realm.
Everyone had seen the same thing.
A single blade of grass.
However, everyone felt the same thing. Something ancient and profound had awakened, and it was pulling them forward like a tide.
No one spoke of it, yet everyone understood that the competition had changed. The scattered treasures that had kept them running across the world suddenly felt insignificant.
Something far greater had appeared. Across forests, valleys, and ruined cities, countless figures began moving in the same direction. Golden streaks of beastkin energy tore across the plains. Silver flashes of elven magic darted through the sky. Human cultivators rode waves of mana as they pushed their bodies to the limit.
"Stop. Our prince has already claimed this treasure. If you go any further, then we will consider it as an open attack on the entire sector!"
Dozens of armored elves stood in formation, their silver armor glowing faintly with mana. Behind them rose a floating barrier of pale light that sealed off the valley beyond. At the center of the formation stood a young elf in regal robes, his expression calm but cold.
For a moment the entire valley fell silent. Then someone laughed.
A tall beastkin with striped fur stepped forward, rolling his shoulders lazily. "Your prince claimed it, huh?" He glanced around at the crowd gathering behind him. "Funny. I don't remember your sector name. Was it the 'no one gives a shit' sector?"
Several beastkin snorted. The lead elf's eyes narrowed. "Leave. This is your final warning."
"Yeah?" the beastkin replied, baring sharp teeth in a grin. "And if we don't?"
Mana began gathering like storm clouds above the valley. More people arrived every second, landing on trees, cliffs, and ruined structures surrounding the clearing.
An armored human cultivator floated down beside the beastkin, crossing his arms. "Your sector doesn't own the event."
The elf prince finally stepped forward. His presence alone caused the wind to slow. "Ownership is determined by strength," he said calmly. "If any of you believe otherwise… you may try."
A massive beastkin warrior slammed his weapon into the ground. "Then stop barking and fight! If I have to rip apart, every single one of you to take what is mine, then I don't mind doing that."
Even as he was speaking, a blade appeared in front of him, and the next moment his head rolled lifelessly on the ground. The massive beastkin's body remained standing for a moment longer, blood spraying from the cleanly severed neck before collapsing heavily onto the ground. His enormous weapon slipped from his fingers and struck the stone with a dull metallic clang.
Silence swallowed the valley. Then the screaming began. Silver light exploded across the clearing as the elven formation moved instantly. Dozens of blades flashed forward like a storm of falling stars. Mana arrows filled the air, streaking toward the stunned crowd before they could react.
The elf prince had not even drawn his weapon. He simply lowered his hand. "Kill them."
The valley erupted. Beastkin warriors roared and charged forward like wild beasts unleashed from chains. One tiger-striped fighter smashed directly into the elven line, claws glowing with golden energy as he tore apart the first shield formation. A wave of mana detonated outward, sending several elves flying into the cliffs.
A human above the battlefield raised both hands. "Falling Star Palm!"
A massive hand of condensed mana slammed down from the sky, crushing an elf instantly and blasting a crater into the ground.
But the elves were not weak. The silver-armored commander stepped forward calmly. His sword moved once. A crescent of moonlight cut across the battlefield. Three charging beastkin were split apart instantly. Blood painted the clearing.
Mana surged violently from every direction as dozens of techniques collided at once. Fire, lightning, wind, and mana blades tore through the valley like a natural disaster.
High above the chaos, a few people arrived. These beings emitted an aura far superior than the others who had gathered. Their eyes scanned the slaughter below with quiet interest.
People were already dying in droves and the real fight had barely begun.
Behind the elven formation, the barrier sealing the valley trembled as shockwaves struck it repeatedly. Inside that valley, the true treasure waited.
Another group of cultivators arrived from the forest edge and charged directly into the battlefield. The crowd doubled and then tripled. Chaos swallowed the entire valley as hundreds of fighters collided at once. Somewhere within the carnage, a golden streak tore across the sky.
Kael had arrived. Immediately many heads turned towards him. Some even stopped fighting completely and stepped away. However, most couldn't shake off the madness plaguing them and continued fighting in a frenzy.
"Aren't you guys going to intervene?" Kael looked at the few floating beings and raised a brow.
"Not worth it." One replied.
Kael snorted. "Strong who doesn't care about the weak aren't truly strong."
Immediately, the person next to the guy shot back. "Watch your mouth. You are talking to the young master of the Beluga family."
Kael laughed. "And do you know who you are talking to?" His gaze flickered to the blade of grass in front of him as his aura slowly changed. It was now much more profound. Horns appeared on his head and his eyes turned slit-like. His skin hardened with scales flickering all over his body. He clenched his fists and looked up and let out a heaven breaking roar.
The next moment everyone froze. The frenzied look in their eyes dulled and they all stared in the direction of Kael.
Kael calmly raised his hand. "I, the 34th true draconic overlord command you to leave this trial at once."
