Chapter 1017 - 970: Lost in the West (Part 2)
Adrian looked at Sienna Johnson and asked, "Who did you give your first kiss to?"
Sienna had always refused to say, so it definitely wasn’t him. She also disdained lying to fool him, so Adrian had always been very curious about that person.
"Noah Phillips?"
"No!"
"Then who was it?"
Sienna refused to answer no matter what, which only made Adrian even more curious about who had taken Sienna’s first kiss.
The sky gradually darkened, and Sienna didn’t even have the strength to talk to Adrian anymore.
Just when Sienna was starting to feel despair, she suddenly sensed low beams flaring up behind her from a car. She whipped her head around, and sure enough, saw a car driving in their direction.
"Hey..." Sienna jumped up and down by the roadside, waving frantically at the car. She’d already made up her mind—if this didn’t work, she’d charge right into the middle of the road. She didn’t believe it. Would they really dare run her over?
The car stopped, and Sienna got excited. "Adrian, someone’s willing to give us a ride."
Sienna dragged Adrian out of the shadows and pulled him toward the car. But the moment the people in the car saw Adrian, they quickly locked the doors, slammed the gas pedal, and drove off.
Sienna: ...
"Come on, looks like your looks don’t fit Foreigners’ aesthetics. In their eyes you’re not that pretty either. You saw that driver just now—stuck his head out for a look at you and got scared away." Adrian smacked her on the butt as he teased her.
Sienna covered her butt and said angrily, "Adrian, stop twisting the truth, okay? It was clearly because they saw you that they didn’t want to give us a ride."
"..."
"If it weren’t for you, I would’ve hitched a ride long ago."
"Without me, you’d dare get in? Aren’t you afraid they’d rape you and then kill you? Or if you meet a real psycho, kill you first and then rape you!" Adrian deliberately tried to scare her.
Sienna said, "I can’t be that unlucky, right?"
"Weren’t you the one who said your luck is always bad?"
When it rains, it pours; when you’re down on your luck, even cold water can chip your teeth.
Sure enough, a patch of dark cloud was blown over by the wind and a few raindrops started falling. More clouds surged in from the south, and in less than a minute the drizzle turned into a torrential downpour.
On top of that, they couldn’t even go under the trees for shelter, because there was thunder now. Hiding under a tree in a storm was just asking to be struck by lightning.
"Adrian!" Sienna shouted at him at the top of her lungs, her voice on the verge of breaking.
Adrian quickly put up the tent and had Sienna get inside to hide from the rain, but it was already too late—their clothes were completely soaked through, and they had no dry clothes to change into.
"Achoo..."
"Take off your clothes," Adrian said.
Sienna said sarcastically, "Now you’re telling me to take them off? Weren’t you the one who told me to put them on just now?"
"If I were you right now, I’d be conserving my energy."
Sienna didn’t take off her clothes. She hugged her legs and buried her face between her knees, completely swallowed by negative emotions.
"You mad?"
"..."
"I didn’t expect we’d run into this kind of accident either. Right now, we should be having a big feast... and then going to Richard Holman’s recital."
Richard Holman was a pianist Sienna really liked. Adrian had thoughtfully bought tickets to his concert for her.
"We’ll be able to go back tomorrow."
"..."
"Let me massage your feet."
Sienna wouldn’t let Adrian touch her. No one wanted something like this to happen, and she was exhausted, starving, and still angry.
Adrian cupped her face and domineeringly sealed her lips. Their breaths mingled between lips and teeth. Adrian kissed very well—within a few moves he had Sienna stirred up, and very quickly her mind went blank.
When he’d kissed her until she was panting for breath, Adrian finally reluctantly left her lips, playing with the strands of hair stuck to her cheek as he said softly,
"Don’t be mad anymore, and don’t get discouraged. There’s enough food in the bag to last you a day. Just think of this as us going on a long hike."
"Jerk, even at a time like this you’re still being stubborn. If you weren’t so uptight, we might have hitched a ride back to the Hotel ages ago." Sienna said angrily.
Even with Adrian by her side, being stuck out in the middle of nowhere was more than anyone could take.
"You’re mine—from head to toe, you’re mine! I won’t allow anyone else to see your body."
"There’s a saying in Orienta: a true man can bend and can stretch."
"In Ancient Orienta there was a very famous General called Alexander White. Back then he was bullied by a gang of local punks. One of the butchers said to him: ’You may be tall and big, always carrying a sword and a blade, but your guts are tiny. If you’ve got the nerve, use my sword to stab me. If you don’t dare, then crawl under my crotch.’
"Alexander White was weak and alone, and would definitely lose in a fight, so right there in front of the crowd of onlookers, he crawled through that butcher’s crotch.
"Alexander White swallowed his pride for a moment, and later became a renowned General..."
Adrian cut her off and said, "How is that the same?"
"Same principle!"
Adrian pressed his lips together, frowned, and fell silent again.
"Alright, alright, forget it. Let’s just go to sleep—we still have to hurry on tomorrow." Since she couldn’t get through to him, Sienna didn’t want to talk anymore either.
Adrian said, "If you sleep in wet clothes, you’ll catch a cold."
Sienna thought about it too. If she had to push on with a fever and headache tomorrow, it would be even more miserable.
Sienna took off her outer clothes. Underneath she was still wearing her swimsuit—top and bottoms. Adrian wrapped her up in a blanket.
"Sleep."
Adrian lifted the flap and was about to go out. It was still raining outside, and Sienna grabbed him and asked, "Where are you going?"
"To collect some rainwater."
Adrian was really thirsty now. Rainwater was clean, and he had to store as much as possible, otherwise they’d be out of water tomorrow.
"Don’t go too far," Sienna said, a little scared.
"I won’t." He wouldn’t feel at ease leaving her here alone either.
Sienna usually didn’t exercise much, and they’d walked for way too long today. She was completely exhausted. She pulled the blanket tighter around herself and quickly fell asleep.
