Chapter 281: Alliance's Green Agricultural Machinery Revolution and New Chapter of Global Coope
The achievements of the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance in the field of agricultural informatization have further stimulated their enthusiasm and determination in the research and development of green agricultural machinery.
As the world pays more and more attention to environmental protection and sustainable development, green agricultural machinery has become a new development direction in the agricultural field.
The alliance will first focus on the innovation of power sources for agricultural machinery.
Traditional agricultural machinery mostly relies on fuel engines, which not only consumes a large amount of fossil energy, but also emits a large amount of greenhouse gases and pollutants, causing serious impacts on the environment.
Therefore, the alliance decided to develop new types of clean energy-driven agricultural machinery, such as hydrogen fuel cell agricultural machinery and solar agricultural machinery.
At the R&D project team meeting of hydrogen fuel cell agricultural machinery, Dr. Kim, an energy technology expert from South Korea, gave a detailed introduction to the progress of the project: "Mr. Chairman, we have made some key breakthroughs in the research and development of hydrogen fuel cells. We have successfully improved the energy conversion efficiency of hydrogen fuel cells so that they can meet the power needs of agricultural machinery. For example, in the application test of the new hydrogen fuel cell we developed on the tractor, it can continuously and stably output sufficient power, and the cruising range has been significantly improved compared with before. However, we still face some challenges, such as the storage and transportation of hydrogen fuel. The storage of hydrogen fuel requires high-pressure containers, which not only increases costs, but also poses certain safety risks. Moreover, the global hydrogen fuel filling infrastructure is still very imperfect, which limits the large-scale promotion of hydrogen fuel cell agricultural machinery."
Thomas, a German mechanical engineer, went on to say: "To address the storage problem of hydrogen fuel, we can develop new lightweight, high-strength hydrogen storage materials to reduce the weight and cost of hydrogen storage containers. At the same time, we can cooperate with energy companies to jointly promote the construction of hydrogen fuel filling stations. In the design of agricultural machinery, we must fully consider the characteristics of hydrogen fuel cells, optimize the mechanical structure, improve space utilization, and ensure that hydrogen fuel cells can be perfectly integrated with other components of agricultural machinery."
In terms of the research and development of solar agricultural machinery, Israeli solar technology expert Lior proposed his own solution: "Solar agricultural machinery has great advantages in areas with abundant sunshine. We can install high-efficiency solar panels on the top and sides of agricultural machinery to convert solar energy into electrical energy for storage to power the operation of agricultural machinery. For example, the solar irrigation system we designed uses solar energy to charge during the day and the stored electrical energy for irrigation at night, completely achieving zero emissions. However, the instability of solar energy is a problem that needs to be solved. We need to develop efficient energy storage systems, such as new lithium-ion batteries or supercapacitors, to cope with situations when solar energy is insufficient. In addition, the cost of solar panels needs to be further reduced to improve the cost-effectiveness of solar agricultural machinery."
Alliance members conducted in-depth discussions and research on these issues, and each R&D team worked overtime to overcome the technical difficulties as soon as possible.
While developing agricultural machinery with new power sources, the alliance has not neglected the application of environmentally friendly materials in agricultural machinery.
They are committed to developing biodegradable and pollution-free agricultural machinery materials to replace traditional plastic and metal materials.
In the environmentally friendly materials research and development laboratory, Antonio, a materials scientist from Italy, held a new biodegradable plastic sample and said to his colleagues: "This biodegradable plastic is made by us using plant fibers and special additives. It has good mechanical properties and can be used to manufacture some parts of agricultural machinery, such as seed boxes of planters and barns of harvesters. In the natural environment, it can be completely degraded in a relatively short period of time and will not pollute the soil and water sources. However, the current production cost of this material is relatively high, and the production process needs to be further optimized."
Japanese materials engineer Yamamoto suggested: "We can cooperate with chemical companies to jointly develop new production processes to reduce the cost of raw materials. At the same time, we can conduct modification research on this biodegradable plastic to improve its heat resistance and corrosion resistance and expand its application in agricultural machinery."
As the research and development of green agricultural machinery progresses, the Alliance realizes the importance of global cooperation in promoting green agricultural machinery.
They actively carry out extensive cooperation and exchanges with governments, international organizations and agricultural enterprises.
At a global green agricultural development seminar organized by the United Nations Environment Programme, Wang Dashan delivered a speech on behalf of the alliance: "Dear delegates, the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance has been committed to the research and development and promotion of green agricultural machinery. We are well aware that green agricultural machinery is the key to achieving sustainable development of global agriculture. We call on governments to introduce relevant policies to encourage farmers to use green agricultural machinery, such as subsidies and tax incentives. At the same time, we hope to work hand in hand with international organizations and agricultural enterprises in various countries to jointly build a research and development, production and promotion system for green agricultural machinery. For example, we can establish green agricultural machinery demonstration bases in developing countries, provide training and technical support to local farmers, and make green agricultural machinery widely used around the world."
In its work with various governments, the Alliance reached an important agreement with the Dutch government.
The Dutch government will establish a green agricultural machinery industrial park in the country, and alliance member companies will move into the park to jointly carry out the research and development, production and sales of green agricultural machinery.
The Dutch Minister of Agriculture said at the signing ceremony: "The Netherlands has always been a pioneer in agricultural modernization, and we attach great importance to the sustainable development of agriculture. The cooperation with the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance will bring us advanced green agricultural machinery technologies and concepts, which will help us further improve the competitiveness and environmental protection level of Dutch agriculture."
In terms of international organizations, the Alliance has cooperated with the World Bank to carry out a green agricultural machinery promotion project.
The World Bank will provide low-interest loans to developing countries to purchase green agricultural machinery developed by the alliance.
The project leader of the World Bank said: "We hope that through this project, we can help developing countries improve agricultural production efficiency, reduce the impact of agriculture on the environment, and achieve sustainable agricultural development. The green agricultural machinery technology of the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance is advanced and highly reliable. We believe that this cooperation project will achieve good results."
In its collaboration with agricultural enterprises, the Alliance has established a strategic partnership with a large agribusiness company in the United States.
The two parties will carry out all-round cooperation in the research and development, market promotion and after-sales service of green agricultural machinery.
The CEO of the American enterprise said: "We see huge market potential for green agricultural machinery, and cooperation with the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance will enable us to take a leading position in this emerging field. We will give full play to the advantages of both parties and jointly build a global brand of green agricultural machinery."
After a period of hard work, the Alliance's green agricultural machinery has begun to be gradually promoted and applied around the world.
In a vast farmland in Brazil, a farmer is driving a hydrogen fuel cell tractor developed by the alliance to perform farming operations.
He told the visiting journalists: "This hydrogen fuel cell tractor is powerful and very environmentally friendly. I used to use a fuel tractor, which not only consumed a lot of fuel but also polluted the environment. Now with this green agricultural machinery, I have not only reduced production costs, but also contributed to environmental protection. I believe that green agricultural machinery will be the mainstream direction of future agricultural development."
At a rural cooperative in India, farmers use the Alliance's solar irrigation system to water their fields.
A farmer said happily: "This solar irrigation system is amazing! We used to irrigate the fields manually, which was very hard and inefficient. Now with this system, it can work automatically as long as there is sunlight, saving us a lot of time and energy. Moreover, it does not require fuel and does not pollute the environment. It is really good news for us farmers."
With the promotion and application of green agricultural machinery, the alliance is also constantly collecting user feedback to further optimize and upgrade its products.
They know very well that only by constantly meeting user needs and improving product performance and quality can they remain invincible in the fierce market competition.
At the alliance's future development planning meeting, Wang Dashan confidently told the members: "Comrades, we have achieved a phased victory in the green agricultural machinery revolution. But this is just the beginning. We must continue to increase investment in research and development, continue to innovate, and improve the technical level and market competitiveness of green agricultural machinery. At the same time, we must further strengthen global cooperation, expand the international market, and let the achievements of green agricultural machinery benefit more farmers and agricultural practitioners around the world. We believe that with our joint efforts, global agriculture will usher in a new era of greener and more sustainable development!"
The members nodded in agreement, their eyes full of expectations and determination for the future.
In the research, development and promotion of green agricultural machinery, the Global Agricultural Machinery Innovation Alliance will continue to forge ahead and write a more glorious chapter.
