Chapter 333 Trying to Persuade
Chapter 333 Trying to Persuade
"Yuzhu, you have to understand that a man must shoulder his responsibilities, not only to himself, his lover, his family, but also to the entire society." He Daqing's eyes were deep, as if he was recalling his experiences when he was young.
A warm current surged in He Yuzhu's heart. He felt his father's good intentions and couldn't help saying, "Dad, I understand. I will take this relationship seriously. I will take good care of Xiao'e and give her a happy future."
He Daqing nodded with satisfaction, a smile on his face. "Good kid, it's good that you understand. Remember, love requires the joint efforts of two people. You must understand and tolerate each other in order to go a long way."
He Yuzhu clenched his fists, his heart full of determination. He knew that he was no longer the ignorant boy, but a man who needed to take responsibility.
"Dad, thank you for your teachings, I will remember it. Xiao'e is very important to me, and I will try my best to make her happy." He Yuzhu said firmly, with a determined light flashing in his eyes.
He Daqing felt extremely relieved when he saw his son's appearance. He knew that He Yuzhu had really begun to mature.
After dinner, He Yuzhu walked in the yard, thinking about his father's words. He decided to be more proactive in his relationship and not be as passive as before. He wanted Lou Xiao'e to feel his sincerity and let her know how much he valued her.
The next morning, He Yuzhu got up early and prepared a simple breakfast. He knew that Lou Xiao'e liked to eat light food, so he cooked a bowl of millet porridge and a few side dishes. When Lou Xiao'e came, he handed her the breakfast.
"Sister Xiao'e, good morning. I made some breakfast for you, I hope you like it." He Yuzhu said shyly with a smile on his face.
Lou Xiao'e was a little surprised, but soon she showed a happy smile. "Yuzhu, you are so thoughtful. Thank you, I like it very much." She took the breakfast and felt very warm in her heart.
They sat in the yard, eating breakfast and chatting. He Yuzhu found that Lou Xiao'e actually had many interesting ideas and insights that he had not noticed before. Their communication became more in-depth and their feelings sublimated unconsciously.
One evening, He Yuzhu and Lou Xiao'e decided to go for a walk in a nearby park. The park was shaded by green trees and filled with the fragrance of flowers. They strolled along the path, feeling particularly relaxed.
"Yuzhui, what do you think our future will be like?" Lou Xiao'e suddenly asked, her eyes full of anticipation.
He Yuzhu stopped, looked at her seriously, and said, "Sister Xiao'e, I hope our future will be happy, with you, me, and our common home. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we will face them together and solve them together."
Lou Xiao'e looked at He Yuzhu with emotion, her heart filled with happiness. "Yuzhu, I believe we can do it. As long as we love each other, there is no difficulty that cannot be overcome."
He Yuzhu smiled and nodded, holding Lou Xiao'e's hand. They continued to stroll in the park, the afterglow of the setting sun shining on them, as if coating their future with a layer of golden light.
Back at the courtyard, He Yuzhu and Lou Xiao'e's relationship became stronger. They faced the challenges of life together, supported each other, and made progress together. He Daqing also watched silently, feeling extremely satisfied and relieved.
As the days passed, life in the courtyard seemed to have returned to normal. But beneath the calm, there were some disturbances. He Daqing began to find that He Yuzhu was a little slack in his work, and often missed a lot of important things because of dating Lou Xiao'e. He became more and more uneasy, and always felt that something was wrong.
On a hot summer afternoon, He Daqing was repairing a water pipe in the yard, sweat running down his cheeks. He Yuzhu had not returned yet, and was still shopping outside with Lou Xiaoe. He Daqing's long-accumulated dissatisfaction finally erupted.
In the evening, He Yuzhu and Lou Xiao'e returned home happily, but were greeted by He Daqing's serious face.
"Yuzhui, come here and let's talk." He Daqing's voice was low and stern, with an unquestionable majesty.
He Yuzhu was a little confused, but still walked over. "Dad, what's wrong?"
He Daqing looked at his son, his eyes full of disappointment and anger. "What have you been doing recently? You don't pay attention to your work, and you hang out with Lou Xiao'e every day. Do you know that the most important thing for a man is a sense of responsibility?"
He Yuzhu was stunned. He didn't expect his father to be so angry. "Dad, I just went out with Sister Xiao'e during my break to relax. I'm still working."
He Daqing stamped his feet in anger, and his voice became louder. "Relax? Look at you now, do you still have any sense of responsibility? You are not a child anymore, you should shoulder the responsibility of the family!"
He Yuzhu began to feel dissatisfied when he heard this. He felt that he had been working hard, so why did his father criticize him so harshly? His face became ugly and his tone became tough. "Dad, I have my own life and I also need time to relax. Can't I have my own time?"
He Daqing was irritated by his son's attitude and was furious. "Are you talking back to me? I'm doing this for your own good! You're only thinking about yourself now and don't consider your family responsibilities at all!"
He Yuzhu was not to be outdone, with a flash of anger in his eyes. "Dad, I'm not a child anymore. I have my own life and choices. You can't always control me like this!"
He Daqing was so angry that he was speechless. He didn't expect that his good intentions would lead to his son's resistance. The atmosphere in the yard became extremely tense. The neighbors around heard their quarrel and leaned out to watch.
Lou Xiao'e stood aside, looking pale and at a loss. She tried to persuade them but didn't know where to start. She felt full of guilt and thought she was the cause of all this.
He Yuzhu saw Lou Xiao'e's expression, and felt even more guilty and distressed. He didn't want her to worry about this, so he turned around and said to her: "Sister Xiao'e, you go back first, I'll take care of this."
Lou Xiao'e hesitated for a moment, finally nodded, and left the yard silently. She felt heavy-hearted, and tears welled up in her eyes as she walked home.
Back home, He Yuzhu and He Daqing were still immersed in the aftermath of the quarrel, and neither of them was willing to give in. He Daqing looked at his son, feeling a little sad and helpless. He knew that He Yuzhu had grown up and had his own ideas, but he still hoped that his son could understand his painstaking efforts.
