he felt elated by the compliment. but he couldn't bring himself to bask in it openly. he wanted to remain as humble as possible.
a big thinking for someone who had antagonized the entire real fans a moment earlier.
surely, the next time they meet him, they won't be polite. perhaps, he might even get hauled with criticism after the game.
hiro, however, didn't feel bothered by the consequences. he did what he felt right and he had no regrets over it. even if he was given a second chance, he would have done the same thing.
