Chapter 719: United under a cause

Hiro was outside the box, and Pena had already rushed forward, cutting the angle. Pena didn't want to repeat his previous mistake. He was desperate to stop Hiro at all costs.

Though he was startled by the sudden counterattack, he had already regained his composure. He fixed his eyes on Hiro, his gaze sharp and unhinged.

A normal player would have panicked. However, Hiro didn't. He was calm and composed. He didn't feel threatened, and he certainly didn't panic. Though the shooting angle was tight, he didn't feel bothered.

He calmly swept his gaze toward the post.@@@@

The air around Pena felt intimidating. He had solidified his footing and Hiro could tell that Pena had marked his territory. If he were to step inside his domain, he wouldn't escape unscathed.

Even with his talent, "Knight in the Area," Hiro knew stepping inside the box would be foolishness. Pena looked unusually sharp.

'If I step inside the box, the shooting angle will get even tighter. I have to shoot from here,' Hiro concluded.

Though he was under huge pressure, Hiro could rationally consider his decision and sense the domain around him. He could even feel the presence of the people present around him.

It was like he was standing on a calm pond and the movement of the people around him was generating ripples on the pond.

Through those ripples, he could sense the presence lurking around him.

With an audacious flick of his left boot, Hiro unleashed a curling shot from an absurd angle.

'Stop it if you can.' Hiro curled his lips menacingly.

The ball soared through the air, spinning violently. Tearing through the air, it traveled at a threatening pace.

The crowd held their breath, and the stadium turned silent.

Pena leaped

once again, a little late. The ball barely missed his outstretched fingers and glided past his reach, leaving a lingering sensation.

His eyes became frenzied in disappointment, and his brows knitted. He could tell he had missed the ball. This realization made him dejected and frustrated at himself.

'Again!' He cried out inwardly.

This had happened for the second time in the match- the fleeting feeling of missing the ball by a hair's breadth.

'Is he here to find trouble regarding the pass?' He couldn't help but panic. Even though he had contributed to the goal, he knew he had made a mistake.

Though Hiro easily collected the ball, he had made a great error while passing. He had struck the ball a little too hard, making it challenging to collect the pass.

The ball would have gone astray if it weren't for Hiro's excellent ball control. Still, he would rather die than admit he had made a blunder.

He was even prepared to blame Hiro if he failed to collect the pass.

But now that he had scored from that pass, he couldn't help but panic. Obviously, he would have noticed the blunder.

Federico's heart raced the more Hiro came closer to him. Beads of sweat formed on his

forehead upon thinking about Hiro's intention.

However, contrary to his expectations, Hiro thanked him.

"Thank you for the assist," Hiro said.

Federico was caught off-guard. He didn't expect Hiro to thank him. He felt perplexed and failed to express himself for a brief moment.

'Did he just thank me?'

Though he was caught off-guard, he immediately composed his composure. Then, in a low voice, he murmured, "Don't get used to it."

His tone was rather condescending.

However, Hiro didn't mind it. He didn't expect him to talk nicely either. Also, he didn't thank him to receive his appreciation. He did it out of pure gratitude.

While playing for the same team, even when you don't like each other, there are times when you need to put your differences aside and fight for an important cause.

With this, Hiro realized that even if they didn't like each other, Federico still fought for the

badge.

He wasn't like those immature bunches who would disrupt the performance to outshine their

counterparts.

At least, that was reassuring to find.
